Who: Scott McCall and you!
What: An open nightmare log
When: Now and going on throughout the rest of today and tomorrow
Where: Scott's... mind zone?
Rating: I'll give this a hard R for gore.
[ It's nice, the woods are thick, misty and dark. The moon that's in the sky is barely moer than a tiny sliver, though if it's waning or waxing is hard to tell. Scott's breathing ragged and heavy as he hangs from the trees by ropes binding his hands. He was struggling earlier when he first found himself several feet off the ground with his arms strung up uncomfortably above his head, but a quick jolt of electricity throughout his body put a quick end to that little attempt at breaking free. It's not like it's the first time someone has zapped him with a taser, but the experience doesn't get easier with time.
In fact, considering the old man with the unpleasant smirk on his face is the one holding the taser, Scott actually feels a lot worse about this entire situation. There's a broad sword sitting on a large rock nearby. It's precariously balanced at the moment, but it doesn't look like it's about to tip off. It's way too far away for Scott to reach, even if he had it in him to swing out and try to get it at the moment. Unfortunate, considering Scott knows exactly what that sword is going to be used for soon enough. He'd really rather be able to kick it nice and far away.
The old man walks back and forth between Scott and anyone else who might be strung up next to him, eying them carefully, coldly... He doesn't exactly look like he's thinking of letting anyone free any time soon. ]
Gerard....
[ The old man smirks wider and starts to make his way over to where the sword is laying on the rock. ]
Mr. McCall. Not very wise of you and your friend to be wandering out here alone.
((OOC. The NPC, Gerard, will be writing in red for this log. If you want Gerard to be able to pick at the failures or insecurities of your character just PM or IM me to let me know what sort of things he should say to them/insecurities he should pick at.))

[Trying to keep his voice calm, but there are hints of terror creeping in here. I mean, who wouldn't be scared when you wake up tied to a tree with some nut-job saying he wants retribution.

It's true. He's not like you Scott, he's let people down but he's no monster.
[ Scott takes a second to glance at Stuart before looking back at Gerard. ]
Okay well then... he doesn't even need to be here!
[ Let him go free, and Scott figures maybe, just maybe the guy can find help for him before Gerard slices him in half. Though he doesn't really think that Stuart would find anyone in time to save his life. ]
He's not a monster in the technical sense, but I wonder... There would be a lot of people who wouldn't be sad to hear news of his death.

[ He examines the blade carefully. ]
Well, the way you treat people is monstrous enough, isn't it? Using them, trying to trick and manipulate them under the guise of friendship.
Or holding them at an arms length. Even a whelp like Scott here knows to stick by others. Though he never did quite get it through his head to stay in a real pack.
[ He walks over to Scott now, adjusting his grip on the sword. ]
... Don't do this. You don't want to do this.
That's where you're mistaken, boy. This is exactly what I want to do.

People die. I don't know what you're talking about, but even the most simple-minded of people knows you can't save everyone.
And you don't know me. Stop talking about me like you do. You have no clue what you're going on about.
[Stuart's voice has lost that fear and is now cold and critical. Touched a nerve, probably.]
no subject
Is that so? You think I don't know what you've done? Who you are?
[ Scott's been getting a little more life into him the longer the conversation goes on. He's starting to squirm and twist now, trying to get free of the rope holding him up. ]
Just let him down already. He says he hasn't even done anything!
[ Gerard doesn't turn to look at Scott. ]
He's a liar. I'd think you of all people would be able to understand that, Scott. You've gotten good at lying, haven't you?
no subject
Listen, you'd better either rape me or kill me, because these mind-games are getting fucking boring.
[That's it, Stuart. Taunt the man with the taser and the sword.]

If you insist.
[ But first thing comes first. Since Scott is the one he's closest to, Gerard gets the sword read and swings wide and fast, severing Scott in half through his torso. Scott doesn't even have time to yell before it happens. His mouth opens, but the sound dies in his throat as his lower half falls away from the rest of his body, blood gushing out as his intestines drip down out of his body.
Gerard's face is hard and unmoving as he takes a couple steps over towards Stuart. ]

...It's quite another to see it happen right in front of you. Stuart may be jaded to a lot of things, he might be a snarky, sarcastic, prickly fuck-wit, but when something like that happens right in front of you?
Well, safe to say that even the most thirstiest of vampires wouldn't be able to get a drop of blood out of Stuart's face right now.
He squeezes his eyes shut, the scent of fresh blood entering his nostrils, shuddering slightly.]
Why did you do that? He didn't do anything.
[The EMT's voice is quaking slightly. He knows what's likely to come next...]

Almost any man is capable of murder when put in the right situation, when they don't care about the atrocities they're committing though? That's when they're something to be afraid of.
Gerard adjusts his grip on the sword again, face still as set and unmoving as a statue. ]
He did more than enough to deserve his fate.
[ And with that the blade swings around closer and closer towards Stuart's hanging body. As it does the world around them seems to fade out, the trees melt away and as the sword hits his side, while he might feel pain for a moment it seems to dissolve against him.
The dream he was in is gone, the old man, the teenage boy, the woods. Congratulations Stuart, you escaped you first nightmare with your life. ]
