But Lloyd was no hero. In the absence of Kratos, he had been led by his weak heart into becoming one of Mithos' guardians. The first natural-born Cruxis Crystal made him the most powerful Seraph, but in the end even he couldn't escape the fate of all angels. As a Seraph, he still has control over himself to a certain point-- the kind of autonomy that allows him to venture out into the ruins to slaughter people who resist, for example.
