I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts
Who: Sandoval and YOU!
What: Sandoval is exploring the castle and trying to find who owns the place.
When: Right after he finishes his journal post.
Where: All around the castle; just write in the subject where you'd like to meet him!
Rating: I'm going to go with PG13 here because Sandoval is pretty awful. If your character is not comfortable with sexual material, please post HERE for my reference. Thanks!
Sandoval wasn't sure about this place, not one bit.
For one thing, he'd hardly run into anything that looked vaguely familiar, apart from a few decorations in the hallway - he'd found something that look remotely like a kitchen, but he'd found nothing but metal boxes - one of which that, when opened up, seemed to emit light and was very, very cold on the inside. He hadn't enjoyed that one bit, or the next room over, where large metal boxes also seemed to be whirring loudly, and making wet fabrics fly around on the inside. So, he'd quickly moved on from those rooms to wandering the halls and stairwells, peeking occasionally into rooms to see their contents, and looking very, very lost.
Oh, what he wouldn't give for a guard to come by! But that was too much to ask for, it seemed, since this place was rather large on the inside. He just hoped he'd come across someone soon.

"It's hooked up to a water supply," he said, which was putting it in the simplest terms he could muster. He closed the door and turned everything to the appropriate settings, then started the machine. Which, of course, started making those loud washing machine noises that washing machines did.
"So, that's the water ..."
So sorry this was late, December's kinda been hell over here
"I see... so the water comes in... and then you push this little circle, and it uses that to clean your laundry?"
He seemed to understand at least the basics, though he was curious what each of the little dials did. "So this one... if you turn it, it changes the temperature of the water, correct? And this other one here, this 'cycle'... what does this do?"
no problem! i completely understand c:
"Uh, the cycle is like ... how fast the clothes kind of move around inside the machine." He moved his hands in a vague shaking motion to (poorly) illustrate this. "So if you have something really delicate, you don't want it to move too fast or it'll tear it up."
I am so sorry for him...
"I see, I see! Delicate fabrics need a gentle touch... so a slower cycle means more gentle... just like sex." Sandoval smiled, clapping his hands together a few times. "Perfect! I think I understand now. So what is it that made the bubbles from before? I clearly remember seeing lots of bubbles!"
no subject
"Uhhh, as far as laundry goes? Nah. It's just technology."
This was also the first time someone had equated delicate rinse cycle to sex, so that throws him off a bit. Cue some more staring. "What? Bubbles?"
no subject
He could tell he was being stared at, but Sandoval didn't seem to care. "Yes, bubbles! Do you just stick a bar of soap somewhere or is there a different procedure?" He lifted one of the lids of the empty ones to see if there was a bar of soap already in it.

He trails off, trying to think of some way to explain this where an elf would get it. He knows what soap is at least, so that's a step in the right direction.
"It's liquid soap. Just for clothes," he finally settled on, because that made the most sense.

He thought about it for a moment, before looking up on the shelves to see if he could find some of this fabled "liquid soap".
"May I see some of this soap?"
no subject
Brock picked up a container of detergent (Tide brand, just like everything in the room because the castle is weird) and held it out. "It already comes in liquid form. So you just pour some in the machine."

Whatever helped him understand it the best! Brock didn't really care.
"You can hang it up, or there are machines that'll do it for you, yeah."
no subject
"More machines for drying? Can I see these too?" He wondered if perhaps those were the ones on the far end that had the flap in the side instead of on top... but he hadn't bothered to explore much when he was alone, and he was enjoying present company. "Though I suppose hanging them up is less effort... but slower, no?"
no subject
"Pretty much. Sometimes if you put them in the machine, the heat will make 'em shrink, too. Depending on what kind of material it is."
no subject
"Oh, my! So it's like a sort of curse? Can they ever go back to their original size, or are they stuck that way?" He was beginning to think it would just be best to hang his clothes. After all, he'd gone through a lot of trouble to swipe the ones he had. He didn't want to do any unnecessary work.
no subject
"I mean... okay, sometimes stuff gets stretched out, right? This is kind of the opposite. Sort of. Because of the heat."
Brock is not a scientist at all.
"Never mind."
