[ A // ɢᴀʀᴅᴇɴs ]
[ A couple of hours after daybreak finds Arya still in the gardens. While Nymeria naps close by, she attempts to weave flowers into a crown. The end result is laughable. Growling in frustration, she rips it apart. Around her lie the bruised and wilting victims of previous attempts. ]


[ B // ᴍᴜsɪᴄ ʀᴏᴏᴍ ]
[ From the open door of the music room comes the sound of drumming. There is no rhythm nor any sense of a song. A laugh sometimes accompanies it. Inside the room, Arya beats on a drum in front of Nymeria. The direwolf seems more interested in the drumsticks Arya has in her hands than the actual instrument. Occasionally, she lunges at the sticks and Arya laughs and moves back. Nymeria yelps. ]


[ C // ʀᴏᴏғ ]
[ Arya lies on her stomach, head and shoulders jutting out over the edge. She kicks her feet idly back and forth as she holds her arm straight out. Her hand opens and something falls. She counts under her breath before stopping with a frown. ]

I need something bigger. Nymeria, the stick.

[ Nymeria ignores Arya; the direwolf continues gnawing happily on her drumstick. ]


[ D // ᴘɪᴇ sʜᴏᴘ ]
[ Having mopped the floor, wiped down the tables and counter and rearranged the chairs—twice—Arya finally accepts she is done with her work. She had not thought she would enjoy it so. Work was a welcome reprieve. When she had something to do, she had less time to think. In Paradisa, there was nothing but time to think. She had even begun to miss her lessons.

With the store empty for the moment, Arya steals a day-old pie from the kitchen. She sits at a table against the windows to eat. Fork to her lips, she entertains herself watching the people walking by. ]


[ E // ɢʀᴏᴜɴᴅs ]
[ Lying on the grass near the duck pond, the child is unobtrusive and quiet for once. The direwolf usually with her is nowhere to be seen yet they are not separated. Arya almost seems to be sleeping if not for the slit of grey marking open eyes. Try not to step on her. ]


[ F // ᴅᴀᴇɴᴇʀʏs ]
Daenerys!

[ Pushing everything out of mind, Arya smiles as she calls out. Behind her, Nymeria drags a deer carcass across the ground. ]

Viserion! Drogon! Rhaegal! Look what we've brought you!

[He meanwhile reaches over to pick that stray leaf off her]

Oh, just a book on Earth history.

[persequor]

Is it interesting?

[wilder]

It's...informative. [That's the nicest way he can put it.] I keep reading about other worlds to get ideas to help my world. But unfortunately seems like no one's got a real good and simple solution.

[persequor]

Solution to what?

[wilder]

Making a prosperous world where no one's sacrificed for the well-being of another.

[persequor]

Oh.

[ She pouts slightly as she thinks. Would "kill the Lannisters" be an acceptable answer? ]

Is that what you're chosen for?

[wilder]

[....Maybe if they were real dickbags. And time for mass evasion with a snort]

To slowly go insane from reading all these books trying to find an answer? It sure feels like it some days.

[persequor]

[ snark right back. ] Mayhaps your answer isn't in a book.

[wilder]

Maybe, but it'd be so much eaaasier if it was.

[persequor]

When is anything easy.

[ Sitting up, she leans forward, stretching her muscles. ]

[wilder]

Yeah, yeah. You got a point.

What about you? How was your run or whatever?

[persequor]

I haven't run.

[wilder]

Oh? So what were you doing before you noticed me?

[persequor]

Sleeping. [ Obviously. ] I don't sleep nights.

[wilder]

You sleep with your eyes open?

[persequor]

No.

[wilder]

[an amused "hm"] My mistake then.

[He's not going to bug her about not sleeping nights either because you know, been there done that. So instead he'll just reach over to brush some of her hair back on top of her head]

[persequor]

[ She offers him a wan smile. Arya grabs the book. ]

May I?

[wilder]

[He nods]

Go ahead.

[persequor]

[ Pulling it into her lap, she opens it to a random page. She reads the occasional passage as she flips through the pages. ]

[wilder]

[And it's mostly a general history of Europe during the Reinassance! Talking about the different monarchies such as Elizabeth's and what not. There's occasional paintings and maps too]

[persequor]

[ Arya traces the outlines of the continent. She mouths the names of the seas and a few of the countries with the stranger names. She pauses when Elizabeth's name jumps out at her. She points at a paragraph in the book. ]

That's wrong. Who penned this? [ Marking the page, she flips the book shut so she can look at the cover. ]

[wilder]

Uh- I dunno. Some historian?

How's it wrong? [YOU DON'T EVEN GO TO THAT PLANET]

[persequor]

Queen Elizabeth told me of this. This was her mother. And this one her cousin. Her father had them both executed. These allegations are false. It doesn't say they are… [ She looks back a page in case it was stated elsewhere. ] There's naught in here about what they did to her either.

[wilder]

Huh...

[So one of the famous leaders from Earth was here huh]

It's possible they decided to leave it out. History is never completely without bias, you know?
