Rating: PG/PG-13. Probably going to be drunk people, maybe some swearing.

Maybe you received an invitation earlier in the week via ghost, or maybe you've heard that there was a party by word of mouth. Or maybe you're just looking for candy.

Either way, there are a lot of lights on at the usually quiet cabin in the woods. Located just southwest of the castle off the main road to town, it's not a large structure. Essentially one giant room, the cabin is a single story building made of wood, though one side appears to be made of brick and now has a functioning fireplace. Smoke is coming from the chimney.

Today there are also what appear to be papier-mâché pillars in front, on either side of the door. You can probably knock them over if you're not careful.

[The cabin doesn't have a doorbell, but if you knock hard enough, somebody will probably answer.]

Brock went all out on decorations for this thing, which is maybe a surprise to people who don't actually know that he is into this sort of thing; themes and costumes and decorations. Maybe it's part of being a spy, or maybe it's part of being a glorified nanny for twenty years.

Regardless, the cabin is decked out in "ancient Egyptian" themed decorations. There are a few fake sarcophagi leaning against the walls, some reclining Anubis statues scattered about, and a few more of those papier-mâché pillars bookending the windows and the back door. If you look close enough, they have some hieroglyphics painted on them.

It's all either really impressive or really weird.]

[Jenny is dressed as the Thin White Duke, mostly because she typically dresses in men's suits anyway so it's not as though she's wearing anything thoroughly embarrassing.

She has a cocktail in her hand, graciously dyed blood red by the host, and is just kind of squinting at the decorations.]

I feel out of place.

[He sidles up behind her, all close.]

You certainly look out of place.

[He doesn't, of course -- he's dressed as Perseus, so similar era, different culture ;)]

[Between Ezio and Molotov's husband in their tiny little armored skirts, Jenny will gladly endure any amount of clashing costume/theme-derived discomfort, really. Men's legs: a good thing.

She sort of turns her head halfway to look at him out the corner of her eye, smiling.]

And look at you, fitting in. Is that a happy coincidence or were you told of the theme ahead of time?

[ A party is a party, and Ezio invited her, so she'll try to enjoy herself. Having dressed as Andromeda to match, there seems to be a running theme here!

She doesn't know anyone very well outside of Ezio, though, so she'll be poking around the decorations. And staring at the hieroglyphics with mixed feelings. ]

[Look at all these people in cute theme-appropriate costumes!! Brock approves.

He tilts his head a little at her, noticing her attention to the hieroglyphics.] They probably don't actually say anything.

[ Herpaderp, what? The voice gets her first, since it's fairly memorable, and she looks over her shoulder. She wishes she could be surprised at mullets, but Lana is from Smallville after all. Oh hey, isn't that the host? She should thank him for letting her mooch party food and whatnot.

Smiling back, Lana tries to feign ignorance on the subject. ]

Well, they're a pretty touch. Maybe I should have re-used my Cleopatra costume.

[Maladict eventually appears, and because she always has to be different, she's dressed as a pirate.

She's also dragged Nikola along, because you know, she enjoys the suffering of others]

[She really does, there's no doubt about it.]

[And here's Tesla, being his irritable vampire self, no, children, those claws and teeth are real, don't be fooled. He glowers over at Maladict because he didn't want to be here ever, darn it.]

I'm not having fun, just so you know.

[Maladict, for her part, seems oblivious to his irritation. That or she's actually enjoying it and not letting it show. It's more likely that second one]

I never would have guessed. What with the grumbling all the way here and all.

[molotov]

[Molotov is not a good hostess. This is mostly because she is dressed as Cleopatra, and enjoys playing the role of queen. Everyone should come to her and do everything she says!

She's just hovering around an Anubis for right now, drinking something with food coloring in it (Brock...) and smoking regally, surveying her subjects.]

[Brock sidles up next to her at some point, and tries to hand her off a hot dog mummy.]

Nobody's eating these. Here.

[molotov]

[Molotov gives that thing the most dismissive side-eye ever, and does not take it.]

I am not eating that.

[He sidles up to her. And wants to bum a smoke.]

Snacks

[The snack tables have napkins on them folded into the shapes of pyramids. There are gold-colored paper plates, and the food is all Egypt themed. There is standard "Middle Eastern" fare like hummus, stuffed grapes, falafel, dates, and roasted chickpeas, but there's also dumb kitschy stuff like hot dog mummies. Yeah.

There's also a lot of booze. Brock is probably hovering nearby ready to mix people drinks. He has some red food dye for drinks nearby because he is really, stupidly into themes, I cannot stress this enough.]

[He slaps his hand on the table, because it's DRINKING TIME.]

Alcohol! Let there be alcohol.

[He stops fussing with some stupid palm tree decoration or something and goes over there!! Where there is call for booze, he'll be there, food dye at the ready. (Brock is stupid.)]

Sure, what do you want?

[Who invited the horse? ... Well, he's no usually one alright? And he could use the booze, very much. He didn't bother to dress up because really, he already had the pony costume glued to his skin...]

You got beer?

[WHAT....... that's new. Well, no it isn't. Brock has seen these colorful ponies before. But this one...]

You drink beer?

Outside

[Need a breather from the decorations and people and hot dog mummies? The "back yard" of the cabin is just an area that's been cleared of trees, though there are still a few stumps Brock hasn't pulled up yet so be careful. There's a vegetable garden back here though only winter cabbage is growing right now, and an empty green house.

There is a bench made from a log if you would like to sit.]

[Katherine can't actually go inside the party, rules of a vampire and all, but she is enjoying the outdoors. The weather isn't so cool, and she's finding the view of watching others very interesting.]

[Hellboy is lurking outside too. Not because of anything like the vampire thing, but because he's trying to decide if he actually wants to go inside or not.]

Friend of the bride or the groom? [That's a joke! This is not a wedding, Hellboy.]

[The way Hank dresses, there's no need for a costume. He could blend in well enough, and yet has found himself outside.

He doesn't want to be around most of these people, not really. Not when he could be working but recon, in a way, is work and so here he is...]

[But Molotov has come out for a bit of fresh air! She's dressed like slutty Cleopatra, to suit the theme of this party.]
