Kat had been sick once before because of the castle, and when she started to come down with the symptoms of a cold again - while several of the other residents also exhibited symptoms - she decided to just keep to herself.

Still, the Spartan in her won't let her just lay in bed and rest it out; she's slowly continuing work on the tank, which is steadily starting to look more and more like a tank, despite having to stop for coughing fits or interrupt for frequent rests.

She has, however, left the hangar bay doors open because the day is so nice, so anyone wandering by is invited to come and watch the Spartan struggle as her infection strenghtens throughout the day.

What could have been an almost affectionate moment changes in an instant with Washington's comment. In the midst of reaching toward him, she suddenly grabs his neck and holds tight, sneering at him openly, grotequely.

"Don't you bring that up. That never happened, got it?!"

She shoves him back and then snaps her glove off with that Spartan quick movements, and reaches out to smack him on the forehead with her bare hand.

Washington cries out at that, trying to pry her fingers off his neck. "Kat!"

But he's too slow and too shocked at being attacked by a friend that he doesn't try to move out of the way of her reaching for his forehead.

She smacks him on the forehead, then steps back and tugs her glove back on.

"I have no faults. It'd be best if you remembered that for future reference."

"I'm sorry. Wow..." But he's got a headache already starting as he moves to put his helmet back on. "I don't know what your problem is today..."

"My problem is people not giving me the recognition I deserve."

[dontpatr0nizeme]

"I'm not trying to do that, Kat."

Washington can't help a cough... But he felt fine before. The hell?

"You should be telling people about Noble, about me and my silent contribution. It's about time these people knew what I was really worth."

Wash frowns, pulling away. "If you say so. Are you feeling all right, Kat? For some reason.,. I'm suddenly not feeling so good."

"I'm feeling fine, you should stop asking that. I'm a Spartan, remember? We don't get sick."

Tilting her head at him. "You, on the other hand, should probably go lie down."

Washington frowns at that. "I guess you're right... But this place is strange. You never know what kind of diseases could show up."

He moves his hand to his head. "I think I'm going to have to. This is... Bad. Really sudden though."

"Strange, yes, but nothing I can't handle. And you? you don't have my metabolism, go lie down."

[dontpatr0nizeme]

"I'm sure. I'll go. Thanks for honoring me with your time."

Yea, that was probably sarcasm. "I'll see you around."

She catches that sarcasm,and sneers back at him. "You'd better be glad I deigned you worth my time; who else in this place has the brainpower to build an armory and air support from the ground up?"

Washington knew something was wrong, just from that... But he also knew he was already feeling too sick to try to handle her. "Fine. Whatever you say, Kat."

He turned to leave at that.
