Kat had been sick once before because of the castle, and when she started to come down with the symptoms of a cold again - while several of the other residents also exhibited symptoms - she decided to just keep to herself.

Still, the Spartan in her won't let her just lay in bed and rest it out; she's slowly continuing work on the tank, which is steadily starting to look more and more like a tank, despite having to stop for coughing fits or interrupt for frequent rests.

She has, however, left the hangar bay doors open because the day is so nice, so anyone wandering by is invited to come and watch the Spartan struggle as her infection strenghtens throughout the day.

Harper moves off to a table, stripping out a peice of paper from his journal and writes down ten elemental isotopes:

"Here we go, the ten radical isotopes of elements found across the tri-galaxies. Have fun." He slides the paper towards her.

Why, yes, those are all negative mass isotopes.

Harper's mistake was assuming she'd somehow be dismayed by any of this, but in reality it's a challenge and the impossibility of it just makes her that much more interested in proving it. Entirely confident in her skills, she gets right to work.

Harper would be considering that a mistake if he wasn't starting to slide off and steal some tools that are left here and there.

He needs them, after all.

"Let me know if you figure it out. Name's Harper. I'll leave you to it."

And then turns to leave, hopefully before Kat notices the tools missing...

Normally, she might have noticed right away, but her pride's consuming her on this task and she can't be bothered to do more than a dismissive wave in his general direction.
