Who: Tony Stark ([personal profile] builds) and anybody in the Avengers Tower!
What: Getting labs set up and running... and being sentimental over the castle's Christmas gift
When: Now!
Where: Now! Wait, Avengers Tower
Rating: T, for Tony Stark

The power was truly being tested today.

Not in an actual test sort of way. Of course Tony has done the actual tests well in advance of getting anything up and running. The power source, an arc reactor of course, could keep the building running for longer than any resident had even been in Paradisa.

But today was the day that Tony Stark got all of the large draws to that power up and running.

In the stupidly large science lab that took up an entire floor (floor five, by the way) he was flicking on the power, letting machines hum to life, liquid cooling systems flow, computer screens or holographic interfaces pop up, and a single voice chime in. "All systems seem to be operating at peak efficiency, sir."

"Good, good," Tony replied rather absently. He has already called up a holographic interface in front of him and was going through all of the numbers himself.

JARVIS took the cue to remain silent, which was honestly the best course of action around a Stark.

Tony spoke up after a minute. "All right, JARVIS." He reached into the pocket of the coat he was wearing - a stylish black leather jacket - and pulled out a rather old, weathered, and very large notebook. It certainly looked like it would have some sentimental value, but to Tony, it was honestly the contents that were more sentimental. He placed the notebook on a futuristic metal table. "I want you to scan the book's contents and upload them all to the internal database. Keep it separately partitioned, nobody else has access."

"Even Ms. Potts?"

"...All right, fine. Pepper too. But no one else, this is personal." He ran a hand over the cover. Printed on front was a named:

Howard Stark

He couldn't think of a more meaningful first task for the lab than taking in all of his father's notes; half-formed ideas, meticulous formulas, plans for things he couldn't build, blueprints for things he had built, musings and thoughts.

He didn't know where Paradisa had pulled this from, but the castle obviously knew what would cut straight into his iron-clad, alcohol-pumping heart.
