Suddenly River is close. Very very very close. He swallows, nervously reaching up to adjust his bow tie. But, well, River's hand is in the way. He stops half way and waggles his hand ineffectually before finally running it through his hair.
"Oh, um. I'm... sure you can." He looks around, almost as if he were making sure no one was watching... or looking for an exit... it's a bit difficult to tell those two looks apart, sometimes. Either satisfied, or dissatisfied with what he saw (depending on which look that was) he turns his gaze back to River. He doesn't know why he's so nervous. River's his wife after all. And it's not as if he hasn't done anything before. Yet, there was something about her that somehow flustered him... especially when she was this close. But there were no excuses, tonight. No universe to save, no companions to come barging in... no overly curious jailers... no other Rivers (THAT was a mess he didn't want to repeat). Just them. Alone.
He took a breath and smiled down at her, cheeky as he replied, "What? You don't want to wait until after the wedding?"
