He'd tried turning the knob. He'd tried his screwdriver. He'd even tried asking it politely. Yet the door simply would not unlock. He sighed, resting his forehead against it.

"Forgive me if I'm not going to simply give in to the castle's whims."

He tapped the screwdriver against the wood, idly contemplating the thickness of the door and the strength of the wood, whether or not he could break it down. After a moment he decided against it. If the castle could deadlock the door it could certainly make it otherwise impregnable. With a defeated sigh he pushed off of the door, twirling around and tucking the screwdriver back into his pocket. He sulked back to the bed, sitting down heavily next to River. "I wonder how long we're trapped in here..."
