River smiles when she feels him relax against her. That was good, he was a little less flaily these days. River knew him well enough to guess that baby steps were needed when it came to intimacy between them. "Yes, it could certainly be worse." She breaths a small sigh and brushes her fingers over his hands. Not quite linking their fingers so much as resting her hand over his.

"Personally, I'd just think of it as a small vacation. It could be romantic, even." She gestures to the decorations and chuckles, "I'm sure the castle will become bored eventually."

But the castle didn't seem to grow bored and as the hours began to drag on, River's optimism was beginning to run out. It was probably the 25th game of 'I spy' that did it.

"We need to find another way to occupy our time."
