Nepeta: Throw a party.

Anyone visiting the pool today will notice that the entire room has been transformed into a swashbuckling adventure-themed room. A crudely painted banner hangs above the door that reads "HAPPY PURRAVERSARY FRISKA" in brightly colored paints.

In the very center of the pool is a large inflatable pirate ship. The flags at the very top of it just barely brush against the high ceilings of the room as it gently bobs in the water, inviting anyone to climb aboard (carefully). It's definitely the centerpiece of the party.

Along one wall is a long stretch of tables. Atop them are treasure chests filled with ice and many assorted drinks. The "booty" is spread out on the table in the form of baked snacks and treats, as well as some food that may or may not be specifically for troll consumption.

Also spread out throughout the room are an array of inflatable swords. If the party gets rowdy, no one should be left unarmed!

The decorations all around the room also reflect the piratey theme, as well as the attire worn by those that helped throw the party. Nepeta especially has dressed for the occasion, even topping off her ensemble with an eye patch and bandanna. It's lifted up for the moment as she makes sure that every last detail is in place. Not a single piece of gold foil chocolate should be out of place for this shindig.

Any and all of Vriska's friends are more than welcome to join in the celebration. Of course, anyone at all is welcome to stumble upon the scene on their own.

These kids are turning being stuck in the castle into a reason to party hard. The Anniversary Girl

[Vriska is here, eyes widened and arms folded, trying to take in all the fun and festivities that the pool room had to offer today. Huh, she thought to herself, trying to take in the size of that ship. It was actually... impressive. Nepeta sure did outdo herself on this one!

She's walking around here, clad in her pirate-flavored roleplaying outfit, of course. Here's hoping she gets all the presents. All of them.]

[ Hey, hey, hey! Nepeta had help and Roxy's going to make damn spankin' sure that Vriska is aware of it! When she catches sight of the anniversary girl she nearly drops the ladle into the punch she had been currently stirring. ] Vriska!!

[ Dashing around to the other side of the table to catch her before she can get away, she all-but tackles her as she pulls her into a hug. ] Happy Second Year Purravursary, Vriska! Like what we did with the place?

[wagers]

[Whoa! Vriska practically screeches when there is a Lalonde all over her, eyes widened for a much different reason.]

What? You actually helped with this?

Of course I did! You didn't think I was really going to let Nepeta do all this by herself? She's good, but there's no way she's that good! Besides, ain't no party a true party without a bit of Roro L. Money's touch!

[Jane has set up so much booty for you, Vriska. She even recruited the ghosts to bake things too. BUT IT DOESN'T LOOK PERFECT, so have a Jane shifting and rearranging all the delicious booty on the table.]

Oh peas and carrots, brownies should NOT go next to whatever troll food that is...

[BACK THAT BOOTY UP THIS WAY, JANE. Aw yiss-- no, she's just catching sight of you and peeking over your shoulder there, Jane.]

[You definitely haven't startled her! In fact she expected you to pop up at some point. She smiles.]

Oh! Happy Paraversary, Vriska! I'm just making sure everything looks nice.

[The moment Nepeta spots the guest of honor, she drops the handfuls of chocolate gold coins and whirls to face her. She's watching her for a moment, trying to gauge her reaction to see if she likes it.

When Vriska doesn't turn and leave or scoff in disgust, Nepeta takes this as confirmation that she and the others did a job well done. Which of course calls for a celebratory pounce.]

[THERE'S A SCREAM.]

Beclaws you came! How does it look? You just tell me if its missing anything and we will get right on it!

[On it like a cattroll on a spidertroll after a good pouncing.]

[Were they supposed to bring gifts? Is that a thing you do during a Paradisa Anniversary? ("Paraversary" sounds stupid, Brock had decided on his way over.) Mysteries abound.

He got her a gift anyway, is what I am saying.

Look, there's Vriska. Brock is not at all dressed like a pirate, but the gift he's holding out to her is wrapped in paper with skulls on it. That's cool, right? Yeah.]

[THAT IS SO COOL, NOT!DAD!! She's practically flying his way, partly on excitement and partly to match his height. She's grinning wide, trying not to ogle the present too much.]

Hey! Nice to see you!! Really!

[adorbs]

[HEY VRISKA HEY VRISKA HEY VRISKA... Nanako is wearing a pirate hat because yes themed parties are the best. And she's waaaaaving at you]

Hi Vriska.

[wagers]

[She sees you there, girl! She likes that hat of yours!!]

Nanako! Aren't you a sight for eight sore eyes?

[Dave knows literally nothing about Vriska that hasn't been spoonfed to him from Terezi. Needless to say, his opinion of her isn't high. He isn't easily impressed anyway, particularly when it involves trolls. But they're here and he's here and he should spend less time in his room.

That, and. He has somewhat ulterior motives. He's begun to notice John and Vriska's relationship, but he hasn't been told directly about it so can it really be true? Maybe Vriska will spill the beans.

For irony's sake, he has a skull sticker on one half of his shades. Like an eyepatch. Isn't he great? He slinks up to her, not looking very comfortable about being here.]

They don't make greeting cards for this shit, so I got nothing for you, cap'n.

[Oh, it's Terezi's human. Luckily for him, Vriska knows him much more as John's friend, so he's definitely getting a heck of a lot more leeway here. You know, aside from the initial hesitation in the sense that she is sucky a little wary around John's friends from home. What if they all hate her? Rose is essentially an insufferable broad, but Jade's okay, and she's never really talked much with any of the Daves here.

Regardless of all the potential awkward, Vriska is intent on making the effort.]

Well, I guess I can't complain! It's better than being thoroughly ignored or pushed under the rug, am I right? [She's trying!]

[The part is now up one (1) rabbit. Who may or may not be invisible depending on how you feel about believing in his existence. He'd just been wandering the castle, and the noise had brought him to the pool room.

He avoids the big inflatable ship (inflatable things and bunny claws do not mix) but he still meanders around the rest of the place. He pokes at an inflatable sword.

Heh. Kids]

[To this, Vriska is simply moving toward said sword rack, and-- whoops, didn't see you there, bro-- grabbing a SORD top go bean Nepeta over the head with. There may be a little wobble in her step on account of teh punch, but...]

[Bunny goes to steady her, before realising that...oh]

[He doesn't care if you can hear him or not why are you drunk child :|]

[Since their conversation over the journals, Dave has been searching for the giant rabbit with thinly vieled but genuine interest. Looking for the Easter Bunny really doesn't fall under the cool regime, but being bros with him seems to. At least Dave thinks it should. He's been through way too many weird things to deny the Easter Bunny, he's pretty sure he'd believe in Santa at this point.

He's being a bit of a wallflower at the party wondering why he came, but it doesn't take him long to notice the bunny meandering around. He approaches carefully, as if not wanting to startle him. He doesn't know how giant bunnies handle surprise greetings.

Finally, he raises a single hand at him. He's for irony's sake he put a skull on one half of his shades. So he's..not very piratey.]

Sup. Figures you'd be hanging out at children's parties. Is it creepy if it's a rabbit?

[Bunny would happily introduce Dave to Santa, should North ever deign to arrived in the castle. Just to round up his Weirdass Stuff adventure.

He turns at the sound of Dave's voice, giving a small raise of his paw in greeting, recognising his voice]

Honestly? I just followed the racket. I didn't even know there was a party.

But generally I'm allowed to do these thigns without it being creepy anyway.

[And Rise just happened to pick this day of all days to visit the pool. She noticed something was going on from a distance, but had no idea what until she got inside the room.

... "Purraversary"? And who's Friska?

Rise definitely doesn't know any of these people, though she at least knows about trolls so she's not surprised to see them around. Hopefully they don't mind her dropping by. And maybe one of them will explain what's going on. A party could be fun if they don't mind her joining in!

... Though, she feels a bit awkward standing in the middle of what looks like a themed party just wearing her swimsuit...]

Hey! [ The newcomer didn't come dressed, but Roxy was nice enough to fix that! She grabbed a paper captains hat and a plastic hook from one of the tables. ]

Welcome to the partay! Here! [ She placed the hat on top of Rise's head and thrust the hook at her with a devious grin. ] You should start by trying the punch. [ Gracelessly (and perhaps a little sloshed already herself), she leaned in to whisper to the newcomer. ] Spoiler: It's spiked.

[ Wink. ]

[Suddenly, without warning, Rise finds herself sporting a paper hat and in possession of a plastic hook! Seems to be the theme of the party, at least!

The other girl welcomes her so enthusiastically, Rise doesn't even get a chance to process what's going on until she finally pauses.]

... "Spiked"?

[Then the wink. Oh...

... Oh.]

Are you serious?

[She asks with a conspiratorial giggle. Could they really get away with something like that here? Her only experience with alcohol so far has been falling into a vodka martini as a fairy, and that just put her to sleep pretty quickly.]
