Who: Hyzenthlay (
the_marli_tharn) and YOU!
What: Welcoming a rabbit to a castle (or 'This place is too big and smells like man')
When: Easter Sunday!
Where: in and around the Lobby, under couches and behind chairs
Rating: G.
It had been a harrowing escape, and there was more the one instance where Hyzenthlay doubted they were going to make it. Not all of them did.
But of all the things she had expected to happen next, as they sat damp and bedraggled on the bank the next day, was to blink and suddenly find herself in a man's house. It reeked of man, and it was filled with all manner of strange and frightening things.
She froze, pressed tight against the floor of the lobby, ears flat against her back and nose working furiously. She couldn't smell any of them - Thlayli, Thethuthinnang, or even Kehaar - and she couldn't tell if it was just an absence of them or the overpowering stench of Man.
The moment she gets her wits about her enough to move, she darts under the nearest cover (a couch) and spends the morning trying to evade detection and explore, trying to find any clue where the rest could have gotten off to.

He doesn't seem threatening, for a man. She wasn't about to trust him just yet, but she did want to take a better look at him. Carefully, she took a couple hops away and to the side, so she's just crouched under a chair, but can see him in the light, now, instead of half obscured by furniture and shadow.

...
Why is he surprised anymore?
"...ah." He sits back then, legs tucked underneath him. He reaches up with a hand to scratch wonderingly at a cheek, mumbling to himself. "Is this an Easter thing...?"
And then it occurs to him that she's probably hiding underneath the furniture because she's scared or nervous. Either because she knew what he was, or maybe just because he was so much bigger than her. With that in mind, he backs off a little.
"Ah... sorry about that! Right, so..." He brings his hand up to scratch at the back of his neck. Oh boy. He sure was about to explain this to a rabbit. "The place you're in is called Paradisa. It's a magical castle."
...do rabbits know what magic or castles are?

Castle?
[She does relax when he backs off, sitting down and watching him while she scratches at her cheek with her back leg.]

Tsuna takes a moment to shift and cross his legs, since that's a little more comfortable for him.
"I guess that's not really the important part, though. You're really far away from where you came from. Everyone who gets brought here is trapped until the castle sends them home."

Her ears droop slightly at the thought of being trapped, again. She'd just escaped Efrafa. They'd been promised a better life. "Why does this ... Castle ... want us?"
no subject
A small smile at the rabbit. "To tell the truth, not even the humans here really understand how the castle works." ...Tsuna, that's probably not comforting.

"Does it hurt?" Bunny had mentioned monsters, and she wondered if they were the castle's Owsla ...

It was all very strange to Hyzenthlay, and she tipped her head back slightly, eyeing the place warily.

"Paradisa is a pretty weird place. I've been here so long that I've kind of gotten used to it, though.."

Not so much, Hyzenthlay, no.
