I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold; (Open)

Who: Galadriel and you
What: Wandering through the forest because oh, thank God, spring!
When: 4/7, anytime during the day
Where: the...forest
Rating: Can't see this going higher than PG
Notes: Brackets and prose are both fine; I'll switch to match.

It had been too long. Too long since she’d wandered through the woods, too long since she’d felt the grass beneath her bare feet.

Galadriel closed her eyes, letting the warm breeze blow back her hair, breathing in the first scents of spring. She placed a hand on each tree as she passed it, an almost affectionate gesture, making her way deeper into the forest.

At last, when the woods had begun to darken, the small amount of light filtering in through the canopy leaving them in a perpetual twilight, she stopped to rest and take in the stillness, unwilling to venture further- at least today.

He doesn't open his eyes when she starts humming but he does smile. This is as close to home as either of them will be able to get right now. At least it was peaceful, quiet. Beautiful too and the weather only added to it. He could happily spend an eternity like this.

"I'm surprised I made it out here before you did, Lady Galadriel." He comments lightly, still not opening his eyes.

He laughs lightly, finally opening his eyes and turning his head to look up at her. Comfortable as he is laying there, he's still debating whether or not to sit up with her. It really is very comfortable down there and he's not quite so opposed as most when it comes to dirtying or ruining his clothes. After a moment more of consideration though, he does force himself to sit upright.

"I doubt that very much. For however young I am, you are more cunning. I'm sure. Enough that you could have found your way out here before myself."

Good, because Legolas doesn't pass out compliments for nothing. Although, he spoke truthfully. He had no doubts that she could have found her way out here long before him. And, of course, she had the experience of living in Paradisa for longer than he had.
