It had been too long. Too long since she’d wandered through the woods, too long since she’d felt the grass beneath her bare feet.

Galadriel closed her eyes, letting the warm breeze blow back her hair, breathing in the first scents of spring. She placed a hand on each tree as she passed it, an almost affectionate gesture, making her way deeper into the forest.

At last, when the woods had begun to darken, the small amount of light filtering in through the canopy leaving them in a perpetual twilight, she stopped to rest and take in the stillness, unwilling to venture further- at least today.

In all fairness to her, this was quite some time ago.

I guess, but I think she still does it sometimes...

I feel her brother deserved to die for what he's done, but none of us want to take his sins out on her. I know that.

And I am certain she knows this as well. [She looks up at the forest canopy for a moment, waiting for the words to form properly.] She raised him, she said. Were my daughter were to commit grievous sins, I would also feel responsible. It is not rational, but matters of the heart seldom are.

...I guess. [Sort of like how he felt responsible for his family misery even if it was beyond rational? Maybe, even if not the same situation at all.] Probably means there's no helping it, huh.

With time, perhaps she will free herself of the notion. Be patient with her.

Hey I'm patient! I'm amazingly patient Zelos Wilder! It's like my main virtue!

I just try not to bring anything up that could remind her of it.

[Oh, Zelos. It warms her heart when you show that you really do care. She smiles and places a hand on his arm.]

...It's not that. It just gets annoying having her apologizing all the time.

[You know how birds wings get all puffy and haunch when annoyed?]

[Guess what his are doing.]

[Oh my goodness. That is actually kind of adorable. She is making a valiant effort not to stare, but she had no idea his wings would be so expressive!]

[Oh, he notices the fail attempt at not staring and realizes his wings are doing that, so he forcibly folds them against his back again]

...I'm still getting the hang of them, okay?

[You know, getting wing poker face down and all that]

I see why you keep them hidden, then. [Poker face is important. She gets that.]

...yeah.

And you know, they'd make going through doorways a total pain.
