It had been too long. Too long since she’d wandered through the woods, too long since she’d felt the grass beneath her bare feet.

Galadriel closed her eyes, letting the warm breeze blow back her hair, breathing in the first scents of spring. She placed a hand on each tree as she passed it, an almost affectionate gesture, making her way deeper into the forest.

At last, when the woods had begun to darken, the small amount of light filtering in through the canopy leaving them in a perpetual twilight, she stopped to rest and take in the stillness, unwilling to venture further- at least today.

Clementine laughs, because that's silly! She shakes her head. "You're way better than a tree. What were you doing out here?"

"I come here often; I find it gives me peace of mind."

"By yourself?"

"Often, though not always. Is that so strange?"

[willrememberthat]

She shakes her head. "No, but it just seems a little... lonely, I guess."

"There are times when solitude is a welcome thing."

"Maybe," says the little girl wandering around on her own.

An irony that Galadriel is swift to note. "And you? You have come here unaccompanied, have you not?"

She smiles, a little sheepishly.

"I was just exploring." Lee probably wouldn't approve of her thinking about climbing trees, but that's why he wasn't informed!

Galadriel, on the other hand, heartily approves of tree climbing. "I have a bold adventurer before me, then! Have you seen much today?"

"I just got here!" She laughs. "The castle was pretty boring, today. People must be busy with stuff."

"It can be dull at times." She agrees. "It is too fine a day to spend indoors, regardless."

"Most days are like this, right? Even when it was snowing, every day was really pretty."
