[ Unwilling to interrupt Zelos in his task, Arya watches. Standing sideface does more than make her a smaller target; it hides the beating marks on her chest and back. Hers are the only ones she has seen move yet. Another question to go with why she has them and what they mean.

The ones on her hands had spread to Nymeria. Attempting to hide them in the thick fur had wrapped a necklace of sorts around the wolf's neck. Nymeria does not seem to mind it, but Arya does: whatever she's done, Nymeria is not to blame. She had spent a good hour trying everything she could think of to clean it off. Only after Nymeria bowled her over and she got a decent bump on her forehead from hitting the edge of a chair did she stop.

She should probably leave. The reason she had come this way was to avoid most people she knew. There was only so many times she could tell people to fuck off. For whatever reason, she stays. ]

From the people noticing. And the people making it all worse. I tossed the journal and got out. I don't want to listen to it. I don't feel like people pitying me either. I don't even know why I've got any.

....So you seek out the whiniest person in the whole castle?

[wolfchild]

[ She gives him a look. ]

I wasn't seeking anyone. Anyway if you get stupid, I can just tell you to shut up.

[wilder]

Respectful to your elders as always, I see.

[wolfchild]

I am being respectful. I've not told you to shut up.

[wilder]

So if you weren't seeking me, should I leave you be?

[wolfchild]

Do you have somewhere you have to be?

[wilder]

[He shrugs] Not for a couple hours. I'm on break now.

[wolfchild]

Can I stay with you? I'd rather be with you. We can do something. Just us.

[wilder]

Hmmm...I got no problem with that. It sounds like a good break to me.

[wolfchild]

[ She smiles. ]

What do you want to do?

[wilder]

Me? I'm open to anything!

[wolfchild]

[ Arya screws up her face as she thinks.

Her grin is as sudden as it is wide. ]

Flying!

[wilder]

- What?

[wolfchild]

[ She points at him. ]

It's spring and you promised!

[wilder]

...Oh right. I did.

[DAMN.]

Fine fine, my little wolf, we can go flying.

[wolfchild]

[ She smacks him on the arm. ]

[wilder]

[He pulls his arm back, grabbing it with his other arm. There is something on his forearm, but he quickly covers it up with his other hand so all that can be read is "SHOULD HAVE-"]

Owww! What was that for?

[wolfchild]

For lying.

[wilder]

What? When did I lie?

[wolfchild]

I know that face you made. You only smile like that when you're not happy. I want you to have fun too.

[wilder]

...Heh, you're pretty sharp.

[Most people don't catch onto that one. ]

I'm not too fond of flying, I'll admit- but hey! I made a promise and what better day to go up there than a day I rather not have people staring at my beautiful face?

And if you have fun, maybe I will too.

[wolfchild]

[ Arya looks torn. On any other day, she would badger him regardless. But he's got reason enough to be miserable today. She doesn't want to add to that. ]

[he'll smile at her, a more genuine one]
