ɪ ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅ ᴜɴʀᴀᴠᴇʟ ᴀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ sᴇᴀᴍs • Robb
They would have been going to see the ship that day. Arya had bitten down on her jealousy. When the King in the North tells her to come, she follows.
She studies the back of Robb's head as they get nearer to the border. She can say she was tired. She can say she did not eat enough. Or she did not feel well. Arya would feel bad lying to her brother, but what else can she do? He mislikes everything that seems like magic. And she cannot shake the feeling of being unnatural.
Mayhaps she is an evil child. Mayhaps Old Nan was right and skinchangers are monsters. And she is one of them. Why would Robb ever want her? ]

The ride was easier without the train of people, they cover the ground quicker only stopping to rest the horses and themselves before beginning anew. Arya keeping in pace behind knowing full well her unicorn could more than easily out ride his destrier.
It is only as they approach the boarder that Robb thinks to address the silence that had fallen upon them, and the eyes studying the back of his head. The eyes she does not think he notices. ]
What is bothering you, Arya? You have been quiet for some time.

Robb?
[ Eyes wide, she searches for her brother's face to see if he noticed anything--to find him slumped on the horse. Arya nudges Aemon close, hand going to his shoulder. ]
Robb!

He whines, cocking his head. Is something wrong? ]

She knows she is—she didn't mean to—she should stop— ]
Fuck!

The direwolf moves closer, nuzzling Robb's hanging hand but the horse jerks again and Grey Wind growls. ]

Robb! Robb! Wake--Robb!

ʏᴏᴜ'ʟʟ sᴛɪᴛᴄʜ ᴍᴇ ᴜᴘ sᴏᴍᴇᴅᴀʏ • Lucrezia
Today she decides to go close. With Nymeria running beside, she turns Aemon towards it. His cloven hooves clatter against pebbles as they stop before the doors. Nymeria continues, sniffing at the steps in curiosity. Arya does not slide off the unicorn's back yet. She swats at one of the butterflies and calls to the wayward wolf. ]
Nymeria, to me!

She thinks announcing her presence too soon would only drive the girl away, and that fear is not without reason. The servant would say nothing aside from Welcome if she sees the girl, walking off quietly to lead Arya through the many dark halls and stairways to the room where Lucrezia is playing with kittens, ribbons and fabrics, and sparkly hairnets. ]

Lady Lucrezia.
[ Arya bites her lip. In dirty breeches, she curtsies, out of necessity rather than courtesy. It would be unseemly to run out, but she would actually prefer it. ]

Lucrezia looks up with a laugh, as if expecting her, and stands up to set the fabric aside. She has fancy greetings in mind, but didn't the girl say she cares not for decorated words? ]
Arya. I saw your steed when you came in through the gate.

[ She reaches a hand for her so she can lead her back to the couches with all the frilly materials. ]
The place is too big for two, so I like having company.

Who built this?

[ She wouldn't even mind dirt on her things. She can always get new ones. Speaking of, Arya should get new breeches if only Lucrezia can find something resembling it somewhere in her pile of new dresses and things. She pulls out a pair of white cotton pants to be worn under the dress when riding, meant for Matilda, but they are both just as small! ]
How about this?

[ She isn't taking no for an answer, stepping over to offer it to Arya. ]
And no more of this my lady nonsense. You know my name.

Thank you, Lucrezia. Where should I change?
no subject
I would do it there.
