IT'S A BABY-BONANZA!

Good morning, residents! Did you sleep well? You're going to need all the energy you can muster because congratulations: You're parents! Again! The Paradisa Stork has paid some very lucky residents a visit last night, and even moved them to a more kid-friendly environment.

Some of you may already recognize your little bundle of joy and--my, how they've grown! Others will have to get acquainted with their little rugrats. You may not know them, but they certainly know you. By they way? They're bored. And hungry! And they want all the attention you could possibly give them.

It's going to be a long week.

[Mary beams at her sister] You're getting good, Penny! You should show Dad and Phoebe later.

[she turns to her father, easily switching to Japanese] We should eat as a family. It's the first time we've all been together in a long time.

Thank you! [Her face lights up at the compliments. She's working really really hard on improving her powers, okay?!

Then they switch to Japanese... again... and she blinks at them, a confused look crossing her face]

What are you saying?

I was asking if we should eat as a family or if we should carry the food to them on trays. Mary says we should eat as a family. What do you think, Penny? Do you think we should eat as a family?

[Penny smiles and nods at Adam]

Yeah. As a family!

[Only the best family EVER]

[Mary takes her father's hand, squeezing it tightly. When she speaks, this time it's in English]

You'll sit next to me, Tousan. Please?

[He gives her a faint smile]

Sure, I will.

[Maybe this parenting thing wouldn't be so bad after all]

[Phoebe couldn't wait any longer, surprise or not. She doesn't even care that she's still wearing her robe as she steps out into the room, eyes searching for the little girl Peter had told her about.

As soon as Penny spots her mother her eyes light up. She puts down the dish she'd been carrying and runs over, nearly jumping into Phoebe's arms]

Mommy!

[Phoebe gasps, easily scooping up the girl who could only be her daughter. She closes her eyes, holding her close and smiling. Well, Paradisa, she asked for a sign that you weren't the heartless son-of-a-bitch that she thought you were and you gave it to her. On her anniversary, no less. Touche.]

[Peter is right behind her, slightly more dressed than his wife. He sees their daughter and smiles; he knows how much Phoebe has longed for a daughter, and now they have one. His eyes measures the room at large. Phoebe, Mary, Penny and Adam... A family. The good vibes are enough to chase away the memories of Event Horizon for a moment]

Good morning.

Dad! [Mary leaves Adam to hug her dad tightly, and then she performs the same exam she gave Adam] No... I can't heal that, either. I'm sorry, Dad.

No, that... that's okay, Mary. I'm just happy to see you. I'm glad we're all together.

[He finishes putting the dishes on the table and goes for the plates. He feels a bit out of place now, a bit like an outsider. He knows that he has every right to be here, but the feeling still remains. A part of him wonders if he'll be able to slip out after breakfast, take a walk outside or something]

[Oh excuse her for being more interested in her daughter than getting dressed. Phoebe gives her daughter a kiss before looking around. She meets Adam's eyes and smiles. Don't worry, Adam, you're part of the family in her book. Finally her gaze stops on Peter, eyes filled with the love she's overflowing with, now.]

All together. Just like we should be. Now what have you three been doing out here, hmm?

[She shoots a wink at Mary.]

[Mary gives her stepmother a mischievous smile] It's a secret. Have a seat and we'll show you. Tousan, Penny and I will show you!

[she takes Adam's hand in hers; yeah good luck getting away from her. Peter just watches the whole thing, laughing as he pulls out a chair for Phoebe]

Well, she certianly has Adam's gift for taking charge. She's probably going to be a leader some day, just like him. Don't you think so, Adam?

[Despite being included, he still feels very awkward and out of place. He wasn't used to being considered part of a familiy or having a kid. He was fairly sure that he was going to end up slipping out after breakfast. Being inside for so long was starting to get to him, anyway.

He manages a smile to Peter, looking far more casual and at ease than he actually felt]
I believe that she will be a fabulous leader. And quite the heartbreaker, too.

Penny? Penelope. After my mother. [That touches her more than she could even express. It's exactly what she's wanted to name her first daughter ever since she saw her in that vision. Of course the castle would know that. This is more perfect than she could have ever dreamed of.]

Mary. Leader and a heartbreaker. That sounds about right.

[shooting Mary a wink, Phoebe gives Peter a kiss as she sits down with Penny in her lap. Penny giggles] I don't wanna be a heart breaker. I wanna marry Prince Charming.

You can be a hime, Penny. I'll be the warrior, like Tousan and Dad.

[Mary hovers near Adam, guiding him to get the breakfast things ready so they can all eat together. Her being so close is just to make up for lost time. Now that he's here, it's hard to leave his side]

Penny and I made the fruit salad all by ourselves, and Tousan made the rest. It's a traditional Japanese breakfast, in honor of Tousan being back.

[that gets Peter to smile. Mary's trying so hard to include Adam in her life]

[Penny tilts her head at her sister, curious] Whatsa hime?

[Phoebe grins at Peter, reaching out for his hand. They had a family. A big, loving family. It might not be the family she left back in the Manor but it's one of the best things to have happened to Phoebe since she got to the castle - second only to meeting and marrying Peter of course. Turning, she smiles warmly at Mary]

That's wonderful, sweetie! I can't wait to try it.

Hime is a word that can be used to refer to a princess.

[He could go deeper into explaining the word and its meaning, but he just leaves it there for now. He eyes Mary, feeling so awkward at this. A part of him hopes that he won't step on her accidentally or something.

He carefully sets the food on the table, hurrying to finish so that they could eat. He hopes that eating makes things a little less awkward for him]
