Ace is louder than Cass, so when the sound of doggy paws makes her turn, she does a double take.

"Whoops," she says, though her body says DAMN THERE GOES MY SURPRISE. Still, she shuts the freezer (it barely fit all the ice cream), and tries to look casual. She even folds her arms and leans against the fridge.

"Cass. Hey. What's up?"
