Who: Hyzenthlay Human!Loss
shining_like_dew
What: Hyzenthlay finds herself in a confusing and awkward predicament
When: This evening
Where: The gardens
Rating: PG-13 for nudity
The weather was pleasant, the warm sun on the grass outside, and her burrow cool by comparison. She had eaten her fill - on her own time, something she still did not take for granted - and had nestled down to sleep.
Instead, she awoke to feel grass against her cheek. Her face twitched and crunched against the feeling, and eventually she gave up the pretense of sleep in order to rise and resituate herself. Pushing up from the ground, however, she immediately noticed something was up.
At first, she froze, her heart-rate spiking in confused terror, and a moment later she jolted back and tried to push away from the tangle of limbs and sensations that were decidedly strange.
When that didn't work, she sat and panted, looking in wonder at her changed hands, her fingers, then down at her legs and feet, wiggling her toes.
The cold, disheartening realization sunk in once she was calm enough to process it; she had gone to sleep a rabbit, and woken up man.

The tiny doll blinked up at the woman with a level of concern, for she seemed to be in a state of distress. Perhaps her lack of clothing had something to do with that, and though such a thing bothered him considerably less than it might another human, he had no intention of inquiring about it... that wouldn't make for a good introduction at all.
"Hello...? Are you all right? Er, if you've just arrived here, I can show you inside... though I thought most people showed up in the lobby."
no subject
She's relieved when she sees who it is, however, and crouches in the grass to fet closer to him and to the view of the world she's more familiar with.
"Hrair! It's me, Hyzenthlay! I don't knowbwhat happened, I was sleeping in my borrow one mokemt, and waking like this the next!"

He might not have believed it, had he not experienced such a transformation himself in recent weeks past. That the castle can inexplicably change somebody into something completely different, while very disturbed and upsetting, is nevertheless within the scope of 'believable' for him now, and he rushes to the girl's feet to peer up at her with one, wide eye.
"It really is you, isn't it? The castle did this to you, too... it doesn't look like it tends to enjoy giving people a heads' up about this sort of thing, heh..."
no subject
"It must. Do you have and suggestions? I feel very strange. I can't hear, I can't smell, like I used to ..."
no subject
"I'm not sure. You've always had to eat and drink and breathe, right? Those were things I had to learn-- when I was human, I mean-- but I don't think you need help with them. You just kind of have to get used to the changes, you can't really control them... I'm sorry, I know that's not helpful at all..."
He sighs, shaking his head, dejected that he can't offer better advice.
"Just... be careful?"
no subject
She says this now, but she would still find them as terrifying, regardless.

He smiles plaintively; he doesn't seem so certain that there's anything he can do for her, but the sentiment is definitely there. At his size, he usually isn't able to aid humans in too many ways, but at least he can be there for Hyzenthlay, as when it comes to being forcibly changed into a human body, he knows just how strange and uncomfortable it can be.
"You should probably come indoors soon, though; it's getting late. Ah, do you have anywhere you can stay? I'd offer, but, um... I don't think it would really work."
no subject
He does, whoever, offer some sound advice, and she nods. "Right. What sort of burrows do men like? I haven't been much inside." She looks over at the castle with trepidation. It was considerably daunting, even as a human.
no subject
He hesitantly starts to walk towards the castle, hoping that she'll follow suit. He isn't entirely sure how to explain a lot of these things to Hyzenthlay, really-- but as her friend, he feels like he should at least make an effort.
"I can show you. The castle might actually have a room set out for you, even if you don't ever use it. If it doesn't, though, er... you'll need to ask a friend. One who isn't so small, eheh."
oh my god I missed this
"You okay there?"
no worries, I forgot to replurk it o.o;;
She huddles on the ground and looks up at him pathetically. The humans here were nice, she will admit, but that didn't mean she had ever wanted to be one.

"...Hyz? Is that you?"
Goddamnit castle, this isn't funny. He's not a fan of wishing, but he does it when he needs to. So he'll be wishing up a sheet to at least give her some dignity, carefully draping it over her shoulders.
no subject
As he wraps the sheet around her, she takes a corner of it, sniffs it, and then bites it when the scent doesn't catch in the inferior human nose.
"What are you doing?"
no subject
"Trust me, humans are weird about their own wandering around starkers," he says. "This'll save you being stared or yelled at."
no subject
She experiments with the sheet, half pulling it closer and half tangling in it.
no subject
"Yeah, I've never really understood it myself. They're just really particular about it. Best not rock the boat with that sort of thing."
no subject
Hello? Are you all right?
no subject
I'm not, really, no. I am better than I was, though.

[Chell recognizes that voice...]
Hyzenthlay?

[Chell flops down on the grass next to the rabbit turned human.]
Well, right now, it seems you're trapped as a human. If you want, I could try to help you adjust. I'm sorry the castle did this to you.
