After two weeks and some rumours that Christina didn't like the sound of she was finally in the clinic. She'd been planning to go anyway but those rumours? They'd given her something to worry about and it made her push a little of her unease and reluctance away - she had to know even if she didn't want to.

She was still hesitant, though, standing just inside the clinic. She'd told James, albeit briefly, and along with just a general check? She just wanted this done. To know. To deal with it, if she could anyway. And if the alternative were true? She wasn't certain how to handle that.

He was, well feeling like a bit of a fool as well about that. Not telling her about her pregnancy not continuing while here, it had slipped his mind. Well no, not really, he chose not to think about it, to not dwell on what kept him alive. If he didn't age then he didn't have to relive what had killed him, and if he didn't have to relive that...

Then it gave him hope that he would see at least Helen and Nikola off if no one else.

But he had gotten to the clinic quickly, slid on his lab coat as well, to look professional, as best as he could. And he had waited. When she arrived he went over to her, not asking her to come in further, seeing that hesitation. He kept calm, one of them had to be, and just smiled.

"Are you ready, or would you like to discuss things further first?"

His smile wasn't return, not out of unfriendliness or malice but just because of how she felt - she wasn't cheerful and her hesitance was more than just that; she was a little afraid, more than just a little.

At his question? She wanted to get it over with but really she didn't know enough. Christina knew that she'd find out information during whilst she was there, moreso how whatever 'magic' the castle had done affected the baby and her pregnancy. As long as it (and she) was healthy it wasn't entirely bad, but it was still worrying.

"I need to know more." And more in general and not just the effects that this 'freezing' had. And she may need 'coaxing' in a little.

[unnaturalpause]

No he could understand that, so he didn't really comment on it. Instead he kept it there, mostly just trying to be friendly, to hide what little nerves he had.

But at least she didn't outright yell at him, he had almost expected that really. So he was willing to answer questions, to the best of his ability, which was limited at least by what he knew of what happened here.

"What would you like to know?" And that was about everything really, not just about the 'freezing'.

"Anything. There's not a lot that I do know." She knew about what should be happening at her current gestation, about everything that should have happened before that but not about what was after, although really until she knew if her pregnancy would even progress further that wasn't as much of a concern as finding that out was.

"I'm going to guess that you don't know how it might have done this." If it was anything like knowing how the castle had brought them there then Christina doubted it - no one seemed to know that.

She sighed. "I need to know what's going on, or happened. What might happen." What she had to worry about.

He frowned at that really, how she talked because she knew by then as well as he did that answers in terms of certain things were hard to come by. But hopefully he could answer some things for her at the very least, which was the most important thing right now.

"No I do not, nor do I know why, certain things are held back as well." It was honest at least and he nodded at that. "Of course, though I am afraid what might happen, may not be to your liking."

"None of this is 'to my liking' already, I don't think that anything else is going to change that." And that applied to more about the castle than just her personal situation.

Christina gave a shake of her head, finally moving from the spot that she'd been standing on - they couldn't do anything if she stayed there.

"Let's just get on with it."

[unnaturalpause]

James frowned at that momentarily before shrugging it off. No he was not going to sit there and argue that with her, he could understand that issue rather well. But he did wave her on forward, smiling as politely as he could. "But of course then, after you."
