(no subject)

Who: Spike ([personal profile] gottaknockhard), Lucrezia ([personal profile] heloise), Joshua ([personal profile] ofhope), Brock ([personal profile] samson), and Molotov ([personal profile] molotov)
What: Unfortunate results of cosplay
When: July 7th
Where: Brock's cabin -> Joshua's mansion
Rating: PG

The whole thing had been a pretty funny joke, if Spike stood back and looked at it. The obvious, harmless kind that the castle always takes one step too far.

When he went to the party, he hadn't actually planned on being invested in any of the festivities. His purpose for stopping by had involved curiosity over someone who he really had no right to be checking on, and maybe getting a bite to eat. Somehow that led him to wearing a costume of one of his best friends, right down to the toy knife at his side and a yellow wig that kept him scratching at his neck as it brushed against it. That was awkward enough, but the fact that Lucrezia took his lead and dressed as Brock's wife, just added a few layers.

Regardless, he hadn't needed much convincing when Lucrezia asked him to take her home.

"Why the rush to beat the magic?" Molotov asks, not picking up on what Brock is so irritable about. She knows that he's upset, but not why. "Is it hard for you to look so magnificent, is that why you are running, Lusha?"

She's ignoring Spike, because if there's anything better than pissing people off, it's not even acknowledging that fact afterward.

Right, there's nothing about this situation other than the outfits that could cause Brock to squint a whole fuckin' lot. Seriously.

He's still staring at Spike when he starts to leave, but keeps his mouth shut. He'll just have to keep an eye on the situation, that's all. And maybe figure out exactly how many times he can punch his friend before it ends the friendship. (He's estimating at about three right now.)

"Whatever. You look ridiculous, by the way," he says, because... well, he does. It needed to be said. Meanwhile, Brock casually moves to undo the stupid tie around his neck but it... won't... budge? What gives...?

"It is difficult for the other women surely," and even if she doesn't know how to wield a wink, her smirk still does the trick. "And I would not be so unkind."

Being unkind to Spike seems easier to do though. Perhaps he makes it too entertaining for his own good, when his otherwise unperturbed persona shows the little cracks. But now she steps away from Molotov to join Spike, laughing at Brock along the way.
