Too bad for you, that's just what happened.

At the stroke of midnight, everyone will find themselves back in their assigned castle rooms -- except they're not exactly the same as they were left…

[He bristles somewhat at her words, because no, he hasn't, but he doubts she's heard of Kanatahséton. He doesn't say any of this though, just frowns in silence for a beat or two before he answers her question.]

Does this happen often? Merrymaking? So far, I have only seen the god of this place cause distress...

I do not believe in such things. Everything exists for a reason.

I would agree, but it is God's will for such things to occur. Though there is always a reason, we are not always made aware, for that is His place only.

[frown...] Gods are strange and their ways do not always make sense to us, but why would your god keep secrets about what he has provided?

Some things we are not yet ready to know.

Then we must seek the answers until we are deemed ready.

How comforting it must be to be so assured in the ways of the world.

[He shakes his head.] I am only determined to succeed.

We all are, in our own ways.

It seems to be as though some have given up. They are content to allow the mysteries of this place remain mysteries.

Not all make their efforts as plain as some.

I suppose you are correct. Still, I do not accept that the truth behind the mysteries of this place will never be uncovered, the same as my belief in the mysteries of the world are meant for us to know.
