After all that confusion and weirdness, it looks like it might be over. The creature is encased in a translucent polygonal box, and doesn't look to be getting free any time soon.

[All Rise has done since that thing showed up is run. Run and make sure Conan stays away. Which is easier than usual, with his leg injured.

Unfortunately, this means she can take her focus off of him for a while, and that means she caught a brief glimpse of Utena when she was trying to fight the creature...]

Utena-chan!

[Did she lose sight of her? Did something happen? ... She can't even bring herself to move, except to back away even further from the action...

If only she had her Persona right now, she could at least do something!!!]

Rise!

[Unable to fight further, Utena makes a dash for her. New priority: make sure Rise is safe and sound]

Rise, are you alright?!

[Oh, good, she's okay! Rise runs the last few steps between them and hugs her tightly.]

I'm alright... but I thought...

[She trails off for a second, sobbing quietly. She can't stop herself from crying... but she does have the sense to look around and make sure nothing dangerous has closed in on them. The fight is still happening, but they're at a safe distance... so far.]

[Utena just hugs her tight, one arm wrapped around Rise's back, while the other holds onto the explosive she managed to pilfer from the stranger's back. When she speaks, her voice is quiet and gentle]

It's okay, it's okay, you're fine now. But let's go somewhere else, alright?

[Utena wants to stay and fight, more than anything, but first, she has to make sure that Rise is safe and sound. She'd never forgive herself if anything happened to her!]

Yeah...

[Rise clings to the taller girl, pretty much oblivious of the explosive in her other hand or really anything other than wanting to get away from... whatever that thing is!

When she finally does speak again, it's in a very disappointed murmur.]

... I should've known something was going to ruin Tokyo...

[Like the dinosaurs in the last mission. Why couldn't they have been some of the lucky ones this time? They were having so much fun before this!]

[And Utena will be moving along, pulling Rise gently with her.]

Yeah... it's always something or another with this place, isn't it?

[Her voice is distant; her focus is more on the danger around them than anything]

[And Rise lets Utena lead her, of course. She's not even paying attention to their surroundings anymore, just... leaning on Utena the whole way.]

Yeah, usually. [Her voice lowers to a mutter.] I was still hoping this would be one of the other times...

[Occasionally, the castle really does do fun things with no catch! ... Very occasionally, it seems like lately.]
