and there are still places I haven't been
who: Gwaine and you
what: It's his birthday!not that very many people know this
when: Today
where: Morgana's room, the Lux, and the house in that order.
rating: g for now.
[ Morgana's room ]
[ Gwaine can hardly believe what he is doing. He feels like he is fifteen again and desperately trying to impress girls, but not knowing how to go about doing so. He shakes his head trying to dispel the ridiculous thoughts. He is twenty-seven years old, twenty-eight today, and he is simply leaving a lady a token for...
He may need to come up with a proper excuse. Preferably before he is asked so he does not stutter like a misbehaving child caught doing something prohibited.
He considers knocking on the door, but it is early still and he would rather not disturb her if he can. If her sleep is not being plagued, he will not be the one to wake her from it. Instead, he hangs the leather cord on her doorknob. Hanging from it is a druid symbol, the serpent and dragon, whittled carefully from wood. Through the hole the cord cuts through, he slips the thin stem of a flower identical to the one he had used for his magic trick when they were first locked in. It is as close as he can come to attaching his name to the gift. ]
[ The Lux ]
[ While some may frown at the idea of drinking before noon, Gwaine has no such qualms. He is seated at a table, a glass of beer in front of him. He is trying to decide on something to eat, but most of the names listed are foreign to him and it shows in his face. He finally tosses the menu aside. He can just ask for whatever is recommended; luckily, he has never been a picky eater. ]
[ The house ]
[ He lets himself in, calling out as he does. ]
Arthur? Allen?
[ He has something for both. ]

[ She blinks, giving him a sudden look. ]
You avoided my question.

[ He honestly does not remember. He sounds plenty amused, however. ]

I asked how you had been.

Is that so?

Of course. [ Though only by Arthur, or Gwen, no one else ever got close enough or dared. ]

[ He presumes she is not used to it based on experience with Arthur. Unlike with Arthur, however, he does not seek to actively wind her up. At least not at the moment. Laughing as he pushes away from the wall, he steps to her, taking both of her hands in his. He runs his thumbs over her knuckles. ]
This is still very new to me. [ He excuses himself with a shrug. ] Irreverent is what I am.

You are not alone in that. [ Whatever this is, it is not something Morgana had ever prepared herself for. It is by no means what she had ever thought would happen. ] And I would never ask you to be anything else. I am simply Morgana, here, nothing more or less.
I need no show of reverence. [ She will be happy that it simply exists somewhere within him. ]

[ He turns one of her hands over. His thumb rubs ever smaller circles into her palm. When he speaks again, his voice is a husky breath just above a whisper. ]
If you want me to stop, tell me now.
suddenly writing this tag makes me ridiculously sad
[ She flashes him a short and small smile, an assurance for them both in a way. He has managed to muddle so much up, without even meaning to. And she is not sure if she wants to fix it. ]

No. Still can't keep my hands to myself.

I honestly do not think you will ever be able to.

I wish you to be you. I would like honesty.
