☠ 062
Who: Molotov and you, maybe
What: Fireside sitting in the lobby, thinking, talking, drinking
When: The middle of the damn night!
Where: Lobby
Rating: Ehhh probably like PG-13 at most
The lobby never really got silent, not with the noctural residents and everyone who seemed to come and go at all hours, but it did get quiet if you waited up late enough, and Molotov needed a little bit of quiet.
Sure, she could have stayed up in her room, could have sat in bed next to Brock as he slept, even though she couldn't sleep herself. But something about it made her want to leave, want to just be in front of the beautiful, if slightly "majestic generic", fireplace down in the lobby.
So she'd put on some pajamas and wandered downstairs, taking a seat on the sofa closest the fire. The castle provided a blanket to cover her legs with, and a mug of red wine hot chocolate that never seemed to need refilling, and Molotov couldn't help but think it was the nicest thing the castle had done in a while.
And there she sat, alone and silent, gazing into the flames as the lobby traffic died out more and more.
Until you came along.

And then she takes a long, satisfied sip from her mug.

"What else is new?"
no subject
"There was all that Stepford business." She has to think about it. "Actually, things have been normal a little too long for the castle. That must mean we are due, huh?"
no subject
"You're going to jinx us!" She'll scoff, finishing off her drink. "Not that I don't mind something that will make everyone be all up in arms again."
no subject
It's a good suggestion, she thinks, for the cold of January.

"If that happens, it better be like the pirate excursion we had a while back. That would be literally the best thing."
no subject
She snorts a little and rolls her eye. "That was so frustrating! But then again, I did get thrown in the brig before turning mutinous, so I do not know. I probably would have done better on the cruise ship."

"Being lazy can have its benefits. I like to take in the sun. Much easier on a cruise ship than a pirate ship."
no subject
"Fft, pirate ships are still significantly better..."
no subject
"Of course he is, he is a bleeding heart do-gooder," Molotov says dismissively, though still sort of lovingly. She can't help it, she adores her dumb softie of a husband. "Have you ever been on a cruise ship, Vriskachka?"
no subject
Vriska shrugs as she regards Brock fondly, shoving her chin in both hands as she leans forward. "Cruise ship? Nope!"
no subject
And aw, Vriska, savor it! Someday, you will feel the same about your dark red person. Nepeta had explained troll love once, Molotov didn't really get it. "Well, neither have I," she says, "but I have been on yachts, which are basically cruise ships except only one person owns them. A really rich man, usually, and sometimes I get to kill him and take command of his staff, the ones that haven't jumped overboard. Anyway, there is a pool and good food, and all kinds of other interesting things. Good for just a bit of relaxing, you know?"

"But I'll guess we'll just have to wait on what ends up happening!"
no subject
"Maybe we will get something better than both of those things," she reasons, still smiling. "Who knows what the castle has up its sleeves, huh?"
no subject
She squints. There wasn't really much. "We could rule the castle... But, eh. Maybe discovering something that changes life as we know it? For the better? I don't know!"
no subject
"House was once made king of the clinic," she recalls, laughing. "He let me annex an isolation room for myself."
