What: Fireside sitting in the lobby, thinking, talking, drinking

The lobby never really got silent, not with the noctural residents and everyone who seemed to come and go at all hours, but it did get quiet if you waited up late enough, and Molotov needed a little bit of quiet.

Sure, she could have stayed up in her room, could have sat in bed next to Brock as he slept, even though she couldn't sleep herself. But something about it made her want to leave, want to just be in front of the beautiful, if slightly "majestic generic", fireplace down in the lobby.

So she'd put on some pajamas and wandered downstairs, taking a seat on the sofa closest the fire. The castle provided a blanket to cover her legs with, and a mug of red wine hot chocolate that never seemed to need refilling, and Molotov couldn't help but think it was the nicest thing the castle had done in a while.

And there she sat, alone and silent, gazing into the flames as the lobby traffic died out more and more.

Until you came along.

Molotov shrugs, mouth still twisted.

"I think most people did not know what he was supposed to be, so maybe he just got lucky. But I kept his dumb little jacket, just to make fun of him with."

However, Brock actually loves costumes, so she has doubts as to his shame over the situation.

"How long have... you been together? Make it sound like forever." She says this sounding completely pleased by the idea because it's nice, seeing so much fondness in people when they talk about the people that they love.

[molotov]

"It is forever," Molotov sighs, much like most wives might be inclined to. "Our second wedding anniversary is in April, but we have known each other for... hmm, twenty-eight years? It gets a little hard to tell here, without real years."

Cass has never actually seen the body language of married people before now, but it's kind of wonderful. All that devotion and love, the fondness they feel for each other even though they're not even in the same room shows when they talk about their spouse.

"Is there a reason... you waited so long?"

[molotov]

"Things are complicated at home. We are not exactly on good terms." Molotov looks a bit upset by this, casting her eye to the side for a moment before she recovers. "But here... well, one of Paradisa's best qualities is that you can put that all aside. Live in your own little world. Have things you never had before."

[hellofist]

And that's a thing that Cassandra understands well. After all, everyone thinks Stephanie is dead in her time, coming here gave her back the most important person in her life.

"That's why I like it, here. Why I'd rather... just stay. It's better here."

[molotov]

"People always call you crazy if you want that and you aren't dead at home," she agrees, nodding. She has a life here, a husband and a baby, even if she only gets her child one week a year. It's better than never.

"I would give anything to control that aspect. I can deal with world changes, with losses, with stupid monsters and bullshit. But never knowing if you might wake up alone one day..."
