[In the lobby tonight, there is a small girl who looks like she belongs in a castle this grand. Her blue dress matches the decoration style better than most residents' clothing, her long skirts and stay intricate and befitting a higher class daughter.

This girl, however, looks extremely confused, cautiously wandering through the grand entrance and seeming for all the world like she has no idea what's going on.

Because she doesn't.

Last she recalls, she was on a ship, heading home, and this place is like nowhere on The Jackdaw at all, not that she's seen.

She takes a cursory pass around the lobby, then takes a seat on a sofa and clutches her doll to her chest.]

It'll be all right, Dolly. Father is with us now, this must just be part of the adventure.

Shouldn't that be a secret?

[samson]

[Shrug!] It's not like my country even exists in this world. Nobody's does. Since there aren't any countries, there are no politics...

[toyboat]

Then why are you still almost dying?

[samson]

Well, it's pretty dangerous here sometimes.

[toyboat]

Wouldn't it be dangerous for everyone, not just you?

[samson]

Most people run and hide when dangerous stuff happens.

[toyboat]

And you just wait out to be killed instead?

[samson]

No. I'm proactive.

[toyboat]

You're an actor? I thought you said you were a spy.

[samson]

What? No, it -- it means I take action instead of hiding and stuff.

[toyboat]

Maybe you should hide instead.

[SINCE YOU ALMOST DIE ALL THE TIME...]

[samson]

Look, somebody has to make sure nobody gets killed.

[toyboat]

But if you get killed, then what does it matter?

[samson]

Well, hopefully I'll have saved some people in the process.

[toyboat]

I still don't understand why you need to save them. That isn't even what spies do.

[samson]

Nah. It's what a good person does, though.

[toyboat]

If you die, you can't be a good person anymore.

[samson]

There are more important things than saving your own skin, kid.

[He gets up, motioning to the orange... whatever he'd wished up for her.] You should eat that before it melts.

[toyboat]

It doesn't melt!

[And she doesn't look like she's about to touch it. Jenny feels like she has a good point about dying being an end to helping other people.

She harrumphs off instead.]
