Magic tricks
Who: Felix Harrowgate and OPEN
What: A little April Foolery from the wizard
When: What do you think?
Where: Anywhere around the castle
Rating: PG-13
Felix was not usually one for the absurd and the frivolous, although he had learned to tolerate it more over the years after repeated exposure to things like fairies and talking animals and waking up in a dress. Usually he didn't actually involve himself unless he had no choice, but today.
Today was different. Today, without really thinking about it, Felix found himself wandering the halls and towers of the castle. Every so often, with little pattern or reason, he pauses in front of a door and ghosts his fingers over the handle, mumbling a few words under his breath - almost like a blessing.
He couldn't use magic directly on people, strictly speaking, but as it turned out, simple lock spells were a rather effective way to have a little fun without anybody getting hurt. He couldn't guarantee any late sleepers wouldn't get stuck in their room for the day, but that was a just a little harmless collateral damage.

Until, of course, she realizes that her door is locked and she can't get in.
Cursing? Why yes, she thinks she will.

Pausing near the landing, he said back to her in a loud voice, "that's some awfully colorful language for a young lady."

"I. Am Not. A. LADY." And proves it by kicking the door again in frustration, while cursing still.

"... I really hate today."

Not that he was terribly happy about said surprises either.

"Perhaps you should find alternative accommodations for the night."

"...out in the gardens."

"Anything without a nameplate, I would wager, assuming the castle lets you in. And any of the towers with the exception of Satis." Just because Chimera was isolated in there did not mean he wanted people wandering about outside. Even if it was, strictly speaking, his fault.

"Hey, let me out!" he shook his soaked curls out of his eyes and stormed across the room to grab a chair. Maybe with a little leverage...
But no. It wasn't meant to be. After two failed attempts, he realized that the door was sealed by more than a lock. Magic had to be involved.
Well, so be it.
"Van, you better not be on the other side of this door..." he gritted his teeth and sent out a burst of energy, knocking the door off of its hinges. If anyone had been on the other side, they probably would have been knocked unconscious.

It did provide him the perfect opening to peek his head back in and effect what he hoped was a perfectly mild look of concern. The slight shock was at least genuine.
"Oh my...what happened in here?"
