[ Whoever is walking outside today is confronted with what should be a normal sight by now: two children engaging in a pokémon battle. Except this time it's a little different. While his opponent challenges him to a fight, Gwaine shrugs. ]

You asked for it.

[ And without further ado, he takes three steps forward and lands a spectacular right hook on the other kid's face that would make the male adults in his life proud. Gwaine blinks as his would-be foe drops like a rock, out cold. His Pachirisu, standing on Gwaine's shoulder, squeaks in question. ]

I don't know either. He asked for a fight, but he did not really put up one...

[Connor had still been trying to ditch his teddy bear shaped shadow when he saw this. He strolls over, an eyebrow raised at the kid]

What'd he do t'deserve that?

[ Gwaine shrugs. ]

He came up to me and challenged me to a fight. So I hit him.

[ Not his fault kid cannot take a hit. ]

[He chuckles] Somehow I don't think that's what he was referrin' to when he asked y'to fight.

[He crouches to make sure the other kid's okay] People 'round here fight with them pokemon things.

Prob'ly true, though I can't imagine he knew y'weren't from 'round here.

[ Gwaine shrugs in a "So not my problem" way. ]

[Connor smiles and shakes his head] Name's Connor. What's yers?

[huntersdaughter]

[Jo had been walking with her Vulpix. She had been headed toward Gwaine to see what kind of Pokemon he had gotten. She had every intention of remaining an adult and being something of a role model for Gwaine.

Then he hit the kid and she couldn't help but laugh.

Totally not a grown-up response.

Her vulpix though, runs over toward the kid on the ground and starts to sniff at his face. Jo, mid laughter, starts to head toward Gwaine.]

Wow. That's a pretty good hit.

[impetuous]

[ He grins when he sees her. ]

Thank you! I didn't know he'd go down with just one...

[huntersdaughter]

[Shaking her head, she moves toward the kid. Eh, he seems alright.]

[ He holds it up. ]

S'fine. I've hit harder things.

[huntersdaughter]

[She'll look at it and nod.]

Alright, well, we can leave him where he is. Were you on your way to do something?

No, I was walking around. Ouzo doesn't like being cooped up.

[ Ouzo squeaks at Jo and jumps to her shoulder. ]

That was the best thing I've seen all morning!

[Mindy's laughing, but heading toward this kid to give him a congratulations on being a #boss.]

[ Recognizing her voice from the journal, he laughs. ]

It felt pretty good!

He seems like he's a wimp.

I'm Mindy. I think we talked about birthdays, right? [She brushes her hair out of her eyes and moves toward him. Her Pokemon dog staying close to her.]

[ In case she doesn't remember his name. Courtesy takes over and he bows. ]

[ A kid with green hair. What is with this place and people with green hair? Gwaine makes a disinterested sound. ]

He wanted a fight. He got one.

I think he meant with the pokemon.
