Brutal Boot Camp - Day 1
Who: Alleyne and anyone/everyone going to boot camp
What: Day 1 in a week of intensive training and educating the masses
When: May 11th
Where: A forest right on the border of the Dead Zone
Rating: S for Shenanigans (Shouldn't be more than PG13 at most)
The elf waited at the crack of dawn, standing firm in the lobby, carrying only a small pack on her shoulders and gripping her staff tight. She had on a simple mantle over her usual green outfit, hood down, taping one of the capped ends of her weapon against the ground. A commanding presence and sense of enthusiasm radiated off of her almost, a slight, sadistic grin on her lips.
Alleyne never smiles. Those who saw that glimpse of happiness knew from the onset this trip would be a horrible, grueling experience. Those who knew not could remain blissfully unaware, thinking of her just as a teacher happy to help anyone learn.
"Time to go, hope you all can keep up!" she said as she lead them out as close to the Dead Zone as they could get, making them walk the last bit of the trip through thick woods. She stepped through them as one would expect an elf to, watching everyone hack their way through behind her.
She found a suitable spot about an hour into their walk, a stream nearby. She stopped and began to make camp, inviting everyone over to sit down and take a good look at their new surroundings.
"This is our home for the next week. Get used to it and treat it well."
The sun peeked in through the canopy, illuminating the area beautifully. If you're going to be stuck there, may as well be somewhere easy on the eyes.

Deep in the woods then, maybe in a hole under a rock or a badger hole. [some chuckling] Think she'll respond to ransom notes?
no subject
[snicker] Oh, I expect her to respond rather vehemently to them.
[a thoughtful look] We can always demand that she lose those carefully placed leaves.
no subject
Ehehehe, good start good start! What else?
no subject
Rum? I doubt she's brought any though. [Izzy definitely brought some]
no subject
'Course not, she'd benefit from a few drinks- oh! [he snaps his fingers]
'If you wish to see your grades again, you must lose the leaves, have a few drinks and try to woo the one in our group your heart desires most!'
no subject
I'll supply the booze. And then we can grade her efforts afterwards.
no subject
[He snickers and goes back to his normal cheerful tone] So it's only right we hold her to the exact same standards she holds us at!
no subject
Of course. After all, we've learned at the hands of the very best.
[She starts flipping through the gradebook. And stares.] I'm not at the bottom of her list. This is a surprise.
no subject
Oh really? [Trying to get a look] Who is it?
no subject
[that's understandable. She holds the book out to Zelos] See yourself on there?
no subject
[Taking the book and looking] Hmmm...oh! Here I am! Too carefree, just like Isabela and Echidna, layabout, sleaze...[he makes a face] Man, I was kinda hoping for more colorful language than that.
no subject
Snicker.] Pleased to meet you, Zelos. I'm Isabela. Now we can tell Alleyne that she introduced us.
no subject
[He's glancing at the list; he snorts at Aradia at the top...and then is starting to notice something near many of the women's names] Oh my my, Alleyne you sly girl.

no subject
[he snickers] I always thought her disdain towards me screamed transference. I haven't done anything that bad to her yet.
no subject
Oh, she acts that way to anybody who flirts with her.
[looking again] Does it say anything about Alleria? She said she liked her once.
no subject
Alleria...here! [he reads it and raises his eyesbrow] "Stubborn, wild, young, dutiful. Of course I like her. It fits my pattern; look at Echidna and Annelotte. Gorgeous and strong, too. And of course, to perfectly fit in that pattern, she's taken. It wouldn't last even if I could try for it, so why bother? I'll let my feelings die off as the rest have, or pray the castle takes them. It'd be the only good thing it's ever done for me. After all, it fostered these feelings through being comrades in arms and doing things such as setting me up with her for anything romantic. It can take it back and let me be on my own.
At least give me someone who won't possibly leave me alone again."
...Wow.
no subject
That's depressing.
[...] She really needs to get laid. And get drunk.
[the solution to everything is alcohol!]
no subject
But I guess we have no choice but to find that someone for her!
no subject
[griiin] She's lucky to have friends like us.
no subject
Oh! We should probably make fake spots too! In case she goes looking for the book on her own.
no subject
She turns around, carefully doubling back for a while before veering off again.] Then we better make it more fun for her. Wouldn't want to disappoint her, after all.

[He continues walking until a spot near a rock, lifting the rock up and setting it aside. He pockets the gradebook and pulls out his journal, ripping out a page and writing "Not quite!" in anonymous handwriting, following up the paper and dropping it into the hole the rock made- lifting up the rock again to drop it sloppily on there]
no subject
A wild goose chase.
[she starts heading towards sounds of water. Easier to lose a trail there. And put up some false ones all around it. Hmmm.] I'd say leave a page in a goose nest, but those things are vicious.
no subject
She likes to go on about her prowess as a combat instructor, doesn't she? She can handle geese.
[Looking around] Oh hey is that a poison ivy patch...?
