they're listening to me
Who: URU and YOU
What: Nightmares, etc. AKA: what the fuck we thought Uru’s brain was safe.
When: backdated to the start of the weekend.
Where: Uru’s mind!!
Rating: PG-13? Warning for blood and potential violence and language.
Suddenly... the City Royale.
It’s unusually quiet around this time of night. Many residents and natives close up shop around now and no later, and make their way back into the safety of the castle or their homes in the city. Perhaps the silence is relaxing to any who find themselves wandering the streets tonight.
Or perhaps the silence is unsettling. It’s too quiet, like it’s trying to lure those taking a look around into a false sense of security. Slowly but surely, it feels like someone or something is skulking in the shadows— watching and waiting. They’re close now. The time draws near for him to make his move.

THE CITY – FIRST NIGHT
There’s a scream. It sounds like it came from a girl. For anyone who might actually recognize it—Uru. You don’t know where she is, though. Maybe you don’t feel like looking for her, anyway. The atmosphere has become threatening and fast. The sharp gunfire sounds nearby and far away all at once. There’s yelling and now it sounds like a grown man, with a harsh voice. He sounds angry. His heavy footsteps are echoing from everywhere.
Maybe you better run. A bullet might have whizzed past you.
Yeah, you should run. ]

But then there's gunfire, and the sudden, loud bang that erupts from the weapon's muzzle startles Mufasa more than the bullet that goes whizzing by his shoulder, leaving a small burn; a lucky miss.
Involuntarily, he snarls, head snapping in the direction of the sound. He was unaccustomed to guns, and so did not know their power; none-the-less, the deafening boom hadn't been unlike thunder, and that's enough to let Mufasa know he could be facing something potentially dangerous. So he turns and runs, but only for a moment, before he slides into an alleyway and turns around, peering out to see if the source of the noise and pain was there.]

The gunfire ceases, but whoever is carrying the gun is making a move again. Their footsteps are heavier.
Nope, nothing in that alleyway. ]

She's yelling for help. ]

Rather than make a light jab at her inattentiveness, however, he looks back the way she came, lest she have a pursuer.]

She coughs and splutters, rubbing her face quick and looks up.
And sees a lion before her. ]
... Ah.

At ease; I've no intention of harming you. Are you injured?
[His gaze switches back to the direction the girl came from; he wouldn't want them to be caught unaware.]
