[It's been a pretty average day at the Lux. No magical time travel, no out of place guests, just a few people who wanted a beer and a decent meal. Nothing out of the usual one way or the other.

Max notices Spike at the end of the bar, and starts to head down in his direction.]

Like an actual date. With dinner and everything.

[pauses, before shrugging.]

Alright. I'll bite.

[she doubts this is going to be a thing, but she's curious. Being part cat, it's a little more than a flaw.]

[He knew he could talk her into it if he kept at it.]

If you can blow off your shift, we could go right now.

[shakes her head]

I'm not that kind of employee anymore.

Tomorrow then. I wouldn't want to be a bad influence.

[He keeps his gaze on her for a few more seconds, totally pleased with himself. His luck is turning around.]

I'll see you then. [He hops up, seeming like he's going to slip out before she has a chance to change her mind. Maybe he forgot about offering to stay until closing in all the excitement. They don't call him a lunkhead for no reason...]
