Today is Molotov's birthday and she's turning 40 (but don't tell anybody).

Brock had left the cabin doors unlocked so the party guests could filter in and hide before he arrived with Molotov. Or they could just stand around and not hide; Brock didn't really care. As long as people actually showed up, he was cool with whatever.

His cabin was decorated in pretty standard birthday party fare, with streamers hanging from the ceiling and balloons scattered throughout. There was also a table with snacks and a bunch of dumb party hats on it. And there was a lot of alcohol.

Like, a lot of it.

Because what kind of birthday doesn't have an irresponsible amount of booze?

No problem! I figured humans are so caught up in sweet baked goods, I'd take a whack of it myself! All earth ingredients too, with a little signature of yours truly! [::::)]

Pretty much! I can see why it's a big deal, in any case. It takes a lot of effort, for one.

In my world, at least, there is premade cookie dough you can buy at the grocery store, to save time. So perhaps next time, you could wish for that

I could, but I wanted to do it the "right" way. Or I guess what's perceived to be the less "manufactured" way. As a challenge, you know?

Well, thank you for bringing me some. I am sure they will be wonderful.

He-- [Ugh!] He kind of... punched me one time.

I don't know!

Vriska. You really expect me to believe that Hellboy walked up to you and punched you for no reason?

He was just laying there! So I was trying to wake him up...

And how were you trying to wake him, exactly?

By poking him...

I wasn't sure if he was dead or not! What else was I supposed to do?

If he was dead... wait, was this when he first got here? When he had the spear stuck in his chest?

Oh, right! That spear... He could have been dead! I didn't know, so I checked it out!

I do not think poking him was the best option.

[Although, really, who is Molotov to speak? She tried to yank the spear out of him while he was still unconscious.]
