open ] [ paradisa job fair

Who: People who want to hire or to be hired.
When: Saturday. All Day.
Where: The Ballroom.
What: Job Fair.

[The ballroom is set up with rows of tables. No one had to confirm, but she's been passing out fliers for some time now. If no one shows up, Jo will just have to hire everyone... or no one. There are dry erase boards and markers set at every booth. This way, people can write up all the information on their available positions and anything else and people can easily read it.

Jo has a table near the entrance with pens and notepads, in case people want to take notes (journal free). There's also fresh brewed coffee, tea, and water. Plus some cookies.

Jo's hopeful that this will at least get her one new employee, if not two.]

...How interesting. If you don't mind me asking what made you want to open a candy store in the first place?

[She's just curious]

A long time ago I thought about opening one myself I just...never got around to it.

I kept this place going as a tribute to Shiro. I respected him most out of all the residents here.

[She shrugs.] It isn't my scene, but it does have a certain charm. I can understand why you would have wanted to have a place of your own.

[She nods her head at that. Wanting to tribute someone? She can understand that.]

I am sure he would appreciate your efforts to keep his memory alive, it's very thoughtful of you. And yes, but my husband didn't exactly approve so I settled for making chocolates at home while he was at work during the day.
likethetragedy: (I know I've been mistaken)

Thank you. [She hesitates a moment before carefully asking:] Would you be interested in doing it for Candy Bonsai?

You're welcome, of course.

[And now it's Carol's turn to hesitate. She doesn't know why, she already knows the answer to her question and the smile on her lips could probably show her the answer] Yes, I would definitely be interested.
likethetragedy: (Unexpected what you did to my heart)

[Elektra smiles in return. She doesn't consider herself sentimental, but there's something nice about this after hearing Carol's story. She hardly knows her, but Elektra can't help feeling a little happy that Carol at least partially got her wish.]

When do you want to start?

[personal profile] losteveryone 2012-08-16 01:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Carol doesn't know Elektra very well either but she'll never forget her kindness to her on her arrival here and she seems very dedicated to keeping this candy store up and running. If she needs help with something that Carol enjoys then she's not going to say no.]

I can start any time you like. Straight away if you need me to. I don't exactly have much else to do around here.

You can start tomorrow then. We can work out a schedule from there that suits you.

Yes, that sounds good to me. I look forward to it and thank you again for the opportunity.
likethetragedy: (Trying not to laugh at you)

I'm sure I will [Aw look, Carol's smiling wider than she has in a long time]
