Backdated to before the job fair, Open for the Deathmatch

Who: Xena and you?
What: Investigating the Deathmatch and meeting people
When: sometime before the job fair and after talking to Travis
Where: the Deathmatch
Rating: Probably PG-ish for mild language. Will edit if it gets worse

This was quite possibly the easiest job Xena had ever scored. Easy enough to make her doubt the Deathmatch’s standards. So it was even more important to check it out for herself.

If the Deathmatch weren’t…well, what it is, she would be quite a sight, walking-no, sauntering in, dressed in her usual armor and armed to the teeth. Just a normal day, really. She paused in the entryway, swiftly taking in the layout and general conditions of the bar and- you know what?- it’s still a million steps up from a lot of the places she frequents at home. After a moment, she catches someone’s eye and give a quick nod as she approaches.

“Hey.”

Reno was working on fixing up the shelves in the back of the bar when he heard someone approach. Even though he wore a suit, her armor gear only got the slightest of eyebrow raises. He was used to this kind of stuff.

"Hi. Can I help you with something?"

"Oh right, one of the people interested."

Luckily, Reno made sure to keep a close eye on what Travis does. Simply because it's Travis. Travis being left unattended can lead to terrible disaster.

"You wanna be a bouncer, right?"
ontheclockpro: (you're joking)

"Really?" He can't help but look a bit relieved. He's not really surprised by this, Tifa owned a bar and she looked...not too different from Xena here. "That'd be appreciated...in a place like this, we get a lot of asskickers and not a whole lot of bartenders."
ontheclockpro: (you can't be serious)

"Good to know."

Reno doesn't really give a shit about your backstory man. He instead digs under the counter to pull out some paperwork. Name information, background experience, level of training, etc. He holds it out to her.

"I just have some paperwork for filing reasons and then some training later. We're not exactly in the position to have a stellar job selection process, I'm afraid."

She's having a drink at this point, a small name longneck with a kick for the taste. The same orange handy dandy notebook at her side is being look over, a curious gaze running over each line before-- ah, her peripheral vision catches someone walking in her general direction. She doesn't allow for anything but the darting of her eyes, catching the sight of the woman before her.

Didn't she see her before? Ah, yes. On the cruise. She certainly seemed like a woman of adventure-- if the armor wasn't a dead giveaway.

"Nice seeing you again," she'll say, not minding if she could hear her or not.
