Open! IF YOU DARE
Who: Mufasa and you!
What: A big ol' lion arrives at Paradisa.
When: how about now
Where: Castle lobby
Rating: PG? depends on who comes in
A clicking sound can be heard from the entrance as Mufasa's pawpads come in contact with the cool, solid ground, the relative loudness of the clicking being evidence to his great size. For a wild animal, his coat and mane are well-kept, and even though he's in a completely foreign area-- maybe even especially so-- he keeps his head held high. Though he has a guarded look to him, nothing in his body language indicates hostility. He stops once he's a few strides inside, looking around for any sign of life.

It's not fear that guides her movements, but caution. Elves have always had an affinity for all manner of beasts and Galadriel is no exception. She can read his body language well enough to know she's in no immediate danger, but she's also not going to push her luck with a wild animal. So, she slows her movements, taking care not to startle the creature.

Still, he can appreciate the respect of his boundaries. As well as the not screaming or pulling a weapon on him. Young'ns, honestly.
He offers the elf a smile.
"Good afternoon."

Again, she's been here long enough that hearing the creature speak only causes a moment of surprise. Still, it registers on her face.
"Good afternoon." This would probably be the time to adhere to polite pleasantries. It's wonderful how etiquette gives you things to say when you'd otherwise be staring in startled silence.
"You are newly arrived, I gather." She's pretty sure she would have noticed a lion wander about the halls before this.

"As of earlier today, yes," he replies. "This is definitely an interesting land."
There's a hint of distinction on intersting; it's the only indication that he's not satified with being whisked away from his home and forced to stay here.

"A rather generous assessment."

He bows his head.
"If I may be so bold... I am Mufasa, the king of the Pridelands."
no subject
"Well met, Mufasa. I am Galadriel, Lady of Lórien."
no subject
"It is a pleasure. I hope you're finding yourself well today."
no subject
She was exchanging pleasantries with a lion. That's Paradisa for you.
no subject
"I've done better." He flicks his tail lightly behind him. "But then again, I've done worse as well."
It's probably the closest thing to a compliment that the castle's getting for the moment.
no subject
"Well answered. You have had this place explained to you, I suppose?"
no subject
Being a lion and all, he's kind of way out of his element.
no subject
She hadn't had quite as much to learn, but being an elf she was still rather behind most people, so to speak.

He's certain his mind could adapt to anything, given time, but his body? He's well past past his peak, and, well. Depending on how long he was kept here... the fact he survived that wildebeest stampede might not matter back home.

"Go on."
no subject
"They say that time stills in our own worlds whilst we are here. And, indeed, I have reason to believe that it is so."
no subject
He rolls his shoulders a bit, considering this.
"If that is the case, then this magic that governs these lands is far more powerful than I had suspected."

Again, there's just that hint of annoyance. Thanks for that, life.
