Open! IF YOU DARE
Who: Mufasa and you!
What: A big ol' lion arrives at Paradisa.
When: how about now
Where: Castle lobby
Rating: PG? depends on who comes in
A clicking sound can be heard from the entrance as Mufasa's pawpads come in contact with the cool, solid ground, the relative loudness of the clicking being evidence to his great size. For a wild animal, his coat and mane are well-kept, and even though he's in a completely foreign area-- maybe even especially so-- he keeps his head held high. Though he has a guarded look to him, nothing in his body language indicates hostility. He stops once he's a few strides inside, looking around for any sign of life.

KIRBY LAUGHS IN THE FACE OF DANGER.
After looking at him for a few seconds, he would amble slowly towards him, wanting to make sure that he appeared as friendly and nonthreatening as possible. He didn't want to scare him or make him think that he was bad!
"Poyo?" he asked the creature curiously, still standing a few steps away from him, admittedly a bit enthralled.
his doom is immenent
Poyo? A name of another lion, perhaps? Maybe even the ruling king of the area.
"No, I'm afraid not, young one," he says gently, a small smile on his muzzle. "Is Poyo a friend of yours?"
MUFASA. <3
"Poyo poyo!" he tries to convey that 'Poyo' isn't any living entity.
The puffball then pointed to himself, introducing himself- "Kaabii!" -before pointing to the majestic creature, curiously.

GOD THIS IS LATE;; sorry ;u;
npnp
Luna might yawn in the face of danger.
Blink. A lion.
...
"Greetings."
danger will gobble you up for yawning :c
He's never seen any antelope or zebra quite like Luna before. That was moderately troubling; a kind of animal with which he was unfamiliar suggested that he was much farther from the pride lands than he'd originally hoped. But if it worried him, he didn't make it apparent.
Curious more was that the herbivore didn't take off in a panic; but Mufasa wasn't one to look a gift zebra in the mouth.
"Greetings. I am Mufasa, king of the pride lands. I wish to speak with the king of these lands."
Luna says she's unpalatable :<
She sits up a bit straighter and inclines her head a bit.
"A pleasure to meet thee, King Mufasa. I am Princess Luna of Equestria. However, I cannot say if there is any self-styled leader or king here."
how would you know. have you engaged in self-cannibalism, luna?
no but it probably won't end well.

She doesn't quite make it there though, as a lion is on the way...
Holy bones, that was a big kitten! But it's not a tiger either. She approaches, and barks a:
"Hey there, are you new?"
no subject
Hyena, of some sort? Carrying... a fire on its back? What in the world?
He doesn't immediately turn on Ammy, but he does become more guarded. She didn't seem as hostile as the hyenas back home, but one could never be sure in such a strange and foreign land.
"I am unfamiliar with these lands," he says, watching Amaterasu.

"You're in a place called Paradisa, it brought you here just as it did to many others, me included.
Say, are you hungry?" She has to ask, just because it's what she does.

However when he turns a corner (with Natsu trailing behind), and sees a fully grown lion in the middle of the lobby? All that exposure therapy via the lion cubs go out the window and he proceeds to turn white as a ghost, lets out a little scream and quickly hides behind said corner.
no subject
Well, it's certainly no surprise that he would be frightened; Mufasa is a full-grown lion, after all. He stays stationary, seeing no need to panic whatever it was any further.
However, he does opt to speak, since he does need information.
"There is no need for alarm; I have no desire to harm you. I only wish to know where the king of these lands resides, so that I may speak to him."
no subject
But he'll swallow, making sure to put Natsu back into his rings. The last thing he wants to explain is that a lion thingy is someone's pet to a talking lion. He can let Tsuna explain to that.
"T-There is no king here...at least king of this land." He'll brave a glance from around the corner. "We're just...brought here."

... Yep. That's a lion.
"Well, this is new."

"Sorry, big guy. We don't have a king. Or any sort of leadership like that. Got a few leaders of other places, though."

As a matter of fact, he's through the doors and a couple of steps down before he processes what he's just seen and comes hurrying back inside.
"Holy--a lion!!"

"My apologies if this is rude, but I'm merely curious. Are you one of the animals who can talk?"
She doesn't know whether to expect an answer or not. Perhaps he isn't like those strange, colored horses.
no subject
"I was not aware there were those who couldn't speak," he replies casuallly. "But I apologize as well, for I have no time for idle talk. I need to speak with the king of these lands."

...because COME ON it's a lion and hunting and stuff!
And stopped.
The pencil and paper dropped from her hand as she stepped back, instincts kicking in as she pulled her bow to her hand, an arrow with the other, grey eyes going wide then narrowing.
She grit her teeth together briefly, "Now what kind of mutt are you?"
HAHA. going to assume this is a little later so I don't have to do the intro again, ok?
He notices the bow, of course, although he's not aware of what it is; the closest comparison he has is Rafiki's staff. Still, he can see the tenseness and poise of her body, ready to spring. And with the way she's holding that stick towards him, it's easy enough to figure out that she's preparing to attack.
He's regarding the bow with a healthy amount of caution, but for the most part, feels unthreatened. After all, he easily outweighs and outsizes Katniss.
But he does narrow his eyes. Mutt?
"I am no mutt, young one. My name is Mufasa, and I am a lion, and the king of the Pride Lands."

"What are you doing in here?" she asks softly, knowing fully well she won't get a response. After all, roarbeasts don't talk. She slowly reaches down to retrieve her lipstick, hoping not to provoke the animal.
She won't put the lipstick tube back into her pocket, though, in case she needs it.
no subject
"The same thing you're doing in here, I presume," he replies, a light, teasing tone just accenting his deep, warm voice.
omg i'm so sorry this is late :( blame school
np!! take your time

It's not fear that guides her movements, but caution. Elves have always had an affinity for all manner of beasts and Galadriel is no exception. She can read his body language well enough to know she's in no immediate danger, but she's also not going to push her luck with a wild animal. So, she slows her movements, taking care not to startle the creature.
no subject
Still, he can appreciate the respect of his boundaries. As well as the not screaming or pulling a weapon on him. Young'ns, honestly.
He offers the elf a smile.
"Good afternoon."
