Open! IF YOU DARE
Who: Mufasa and you!
What: A big ol' lion arrives at Paradisa.
When: how about now
Where: Castle lobby
Rating: PG? depends on who comes in
A clicking sound can be heard from the entrance as Mufasa's pawpads come in contact with the cool, solid ground, the relative loudness of the clicking being evidence to his great size. For a wild animal, his coat and mane are well-kept, and even though he's in a completely foreign area-- maybe even especially so-- he keeps his head held high. Though he has a guarded look to him, nothing in his body language indicates hostility. He stops once he's a few strides inside, looking around for any sign of life.

He follows behind her, his strides defined and his posture high, but still with an overall relaxed demeanor.
"Is that so?" He chuckles, like he's in on some joke. (Spoilers: he is.) "I can already tell I'm going to have an interesting stay here."

"It may be too interesting at times, methinks."
And the first thing she does is pull open the door to the fridge with her magic. "This is the icebox. The majority of recognizable foods will be kept in here."
There's a vague hoofpoint at the shelf with all the raw meat and fish. That shelf is something she tries not to think about, but hey. If it keeps him from eating Twilight or the horses in the stables, she'll take it.

--although, woah, that was different. If he hadn't seen her horn glow out of the corner of his eye, he might've thought the thing had simply opened on its own.
"That's quite a useful trick you have," Mufasa comments, looking inside the fridge. He could feel its cold breath on his nose. An icebox? But no ice was visible... perhaps, then, it was named so for its coldness.
Something puzzles him, though.
"I have not often known animals to prefer their food chilled."
And by 'not often', technically he means 'ever', since really, it never got cold enough in the pride lands for food to ever become cold.

And she pulls open the freezer up top. There's your ice, Mufasa.
"The main function of an icebox is to preserve food, to slow down the process of rot. However, there are some foods that, by necessity, must be stored in low temperatures."
And she pulls out a carton of ice cream for his inspection. Do lions eat ice cream?

Despite the stronger burst of cold, Mufasa doesn't even bat an eye. He does turn his head momentarily to Luna, though, to show his attention. And then he notices her horn glowing again and he looks over, seeing the carton.
He can smell some sweetness under the box... but mostly, he just smells, well. The stuff that makes up an ice cream container. So he is, again, a bit confused. However, he's smart enough to realize it may not be the box itself.
"I presume you're referring to whatever is inside this..." ... "... thing? For a lack of a more elegant word."
Protip, Luna: Mufasa may as well be coming from the Stone Age. Or, well, even before that, really. At least he catches on quick.

And this time, she uses a hoof to lift the lid.
"The container? Yes. This is ice cream." A bit of a headtilt. "I do not know if thou wilt find it to thy liking. Dost thou wish to try?"
Sheesh. And she thought she was archaic.

"I think I'll pass this time around. The offer's appreciated, though."
Isn't it nice for once in your life to be the pony that actually knows what these contraptions are?
Even if said pony doesn't always know how to properly use mentioned contraptions...
