Sweater of the day: A wizard's hat!

Who: Mabel Pines & YOU!
What: Bouncy house fun!
When: Right now!
Where: The front lawn of the castle!
Rating: G!

It's high time Mabel puts her ability to wish for anything to good use. She's got a long list of requests. So she's heard about that one time that everyone suffered for their wishes. Pfffft! That's in the past, and she promises to wish cautiously. She'll only wish for things that she absolutely needs.

What she absolutely needs is a bounce house.

It's a simple bounce house. Her only desire is to jump, not race awkwardly through an obstacle course. There's only so much enjoyment a kid can get from jumping on their bed, and what better way to fulfill the need to bounce than to wish for a quality bounce house? It's pretty great if she says so herself.

Mabel can be found inside the house, jumping and laughing and giggling to her heart's content. Anyone at all is free to join her, though she won't hesitate to remind others to play nice, remove all sharp objects, and always always keep their socks on.

What IS that thing on the lawn? It's colorful and covered in wizard hats...Jane HAD to investigate it.

She scampers up to the entrance and looks on with wide eyes. "Oh! It's a bounce house!"

Jane blinks, observing Mabel before waving herself.

"Um, sure, I suppose. I don't have anything pointy," She says, and she slips off her sneakers. What harm could some bouncy house fun do, anyway? Jane climbs in, the wobbly bounciness already messing with her balance. "Whoa..."

Megamind strolls out into the lawn, thinking to get another fix of delicious pie from down in the city, but the sight of this stops him in his tracks. His eyes widen, and he creeps closer, a cautiously delighted smile forming.

"What ... Is that?"

The pony flapping by has to stop and do a double take at this...thing. She circles it a couple of times before she stops, hovering and poking gently at it.

"What in the heavens...?"
doublethefun: (welllll)

"Admittedly, the younger ponies may have seen this sort of thing afore."

And she's still hovering. She doesn't see much point in bouncing when you've already got wings.

"We do have trampolines. Of that, I am certain."

Spike doesn't clamber into that bouncy thing of wonder, instead choosing to stand around outside it. Dragons and inflatable objects tend not to mix. Too many sharp draconic edges and so on.

"That's pretty cool."

Aradia was just flying down to town for some running practice when she noticed something in the front yard that hadn't been there before. At first she wondered if it might be another fairy thing, but as she got closer it became clear this was quite different. It didn't even resemble a house to her, so the only clue she had about its function was the Mabel inside, bouncing around and giggling like a crazy person. (Or a preteen girl. There's not much difference really.)

"Hey, Mabel?" she asked. "What are you doing?"

"Oh, thank you..." Jane takes Mabel's hands and gets back on her feet with a smile. "Hoo hoo! No, I used to go in these when I was younger!" And she definitely had - she'd done a lot of normal kid stuff...that is, of course, when her Dad still let her out of the house.

"... Since when was this here?"

Coraline's come across the bouncy house from behind, and totally doesn't remember it being there when she set out for the garden. Standing on her toes, she peers into the side of it, smudging garden soil all over the mesh wall.

Aradia thought about it for a second, then shrugged. "Okay! Why not." She landed softly at the top of the entrance ramp, took a few steps to test the firmness, then ducked inside - without taking off her shoes, incidentally, but hey, how was she supposed to know about that?

Oh good, it's someone to adore him. Spike sure does love that. He'll grin and fold his arms.

"I sure am, the one and only Spike."

Jane chuckles as they see-saw bounce. This is definitely nostalgic and definitely awesome. Why hadn't there been more things like this around sooner?

"That is too true," She says, "No one is ever too old for any kind of fun."

Pepper is often traveling back and forth between the castle and the city. There are resources to manage and plans to keep on top of. If she didn't know any better, she'd assume that she's doing far more work here than she did back in New York.

The bouncy castle hadn't been there when she left this morning, so its sudden appearance is quite curious. She pauses for a moment, then moves closer to it. Well, it certainly wasn't a fairy-induced land of tiny castles.
