When you wake up in the castle, the only thing that’s distinctly different is the darkness and the silence. Otherwise, everything as you know it is the same. Your room, your belongings, everything is just as you left it when you left the morning before. It may not be where you’ve fallen asleep in the castle, but it’s the most familiar place you know, and that’s what matters.

The one thing that you can’t find is your journal. That’s why it’s so odd that the castle is so silent—no one is talking up at you from points unknown, no one is trying to keeping you informed, warning you about anything going wrong. All there is, is silence. Complete, uncomfortable, dead silence and every instinct you has tells you that you should probably stay put.

Then again, this wouldn’t be much of a nightmare if you did.

Should you choose to venture out of your room, you’ll find the hallways of Paradisa, completely deserted and desolate. It’s almost as though everyone just vanished overnight, with no sign of where they went. If you happen to find a light switch to try and turn it on, it won’t work. The lights may flicker and glow for a moment, but that light will die not long after you flip the switch. Pictures are cracked and broken, paintings are torn, and it’s almost as though a great battle has taken place here but no sign of the people who fought it. If your nose is sharp enough, you may pick up the soft coppery scent of blood. Follow the blood, if you wish, but you may not like what you find.

If you wander long enough, eventually you’ll run into someone. There are two possibilities, both brothers, but it’s unclear if they’re really themselves at the moment. If you’ve known them long enough, odds are you might be able to tell what’s going on, but that could go either way. One of them is very, very good at pretending, and this is his playground you’re in. Play by the rules and maybe you’ll get out alive. Get lucky, and you might find his brother for back up before he finds you.

And if you choose to stay in your room? Don’t worry. He’ll find you soon.

She wakes up with a start. Her hands immediately going to her face and pushing her hair out of her eyes. She swore she had just been in Hell, but that really couldn't be true. She'd just fallen asleep. That was all it had been. She breathes in deeply, taking in the air and is relieved that it's not thick and smoky.

Pushing to her feet, she moves to the bathroom in the small castle room. Maybe she'd worked too late to get back to the city. It seems wrong, somehow, but things are a bit fuzzy around the edges and she's sure it's just the remainders of that last dream that are pushing her to doubt her actions.

Glancing to the clock on the dresser she knows it's late, but she figures she might luck out and find Chase working the overnight shift in the clinic. So it's with that in mind that she exits her room and starts toward the clinic.

Having not lived in her castle room for quite awhile, she's more than surprised to find herself there when she 'wakes up'. Confused, but not too surprised (after all the castle did this whenever something big happened, right?), Lana rubs at her eyes as she makes her way out of her room. Tired, but not relaxed.

The castle wouldn't have brought her back without some reason. But she's always had her journal on her before, and not being able to find it soon brings that sense of alertness right back.

Gnawing on her lower lip, she starts heading for Crowley's room. Nearly everyone else she cared about had moved into the city by now, and she doesn't know if they've been brought back, too. Besides, if anyone would have answers, it would be him.

Start with Dean for some backup?

Alan's startled awake, still full of adrenaline - he was running for his life, he was gonna die, he doesn't remember the end of his dream - but phew. He's safe. He reaches for his glasses, settling them on his face before reaching for the lamp.

But no matter how many times he turns the knob, the lamp doesn't turn on.

...Strange. He'd never had a problem like this before. Castle lights didn't seem to need new lightbulbs unless someone shattered them.

Something seems off.

He leaves his bedroom, moving into the common area. It's empty, as usual, now that Flynn and Sam have gone. Knickknacks they've left behind litter the coffee table. But his journal's nowhere to be found. The lights out here don't work, either - first flaring dimly but slowly flickering out. The clock is blinking at a random time like there'd been a power outage. But that isn't possible.

Alan leaves his room to investigate after throwing on a coat. The hallway's dark, so he progresses slowly but surely.

What's going on..?
