[The ballroom had taken a bit of work on Ino's part, but she didn't mind -- she was glad to help decorate if it meant that the people who were meant to come to the party would enjoy themselves. She'd decked out the room with a little help from the ghosts -- it was simple and not too frilly, though there were flowers decorating the tables as centerpieces. Paper lanterns hang from the ceiling down low over the tables.

And of course, there's food (CAKE!!!) and drink and a table for presents. If you're a friend of Tsuna or Rapunzel, you've probably been invited -- so come on in!]

Well, yeah. I cook every day at the house. [hands it over!]

[He'll take it over, trying a bite]

Well, your housemates are lucky. It's great.

[ino]

[a little laugh] Thanks. It's Rapunzel's favorite flavor.

[whichwayyoulean]

Really? Guess it's the perfect cake for her. [He pauses] You know, I doubt anyone's done anything like this for her before. She's got that sheltered thing down.

[Even more than him, which is really saying something]

[ino]

Yeah ... I know. [she glances out over the balcony with a little frown] That's why I offered to put this together in the first place. If she sees that she's got a lot of friends here, that are willing to go out of their way for her ... I think it'll make her happy.

[whichwayyoulean]

[He gives a small shrug] She's a good person. Kind of blind to the fact that the world isn't always a good place, but still a good person. She deserves this.

[ino]

Yeah. [she'll smile, looking out for a few more moments before she turns to him with a grin]

Speaking of which, you know that Garry guy, right?

[whichwayyoulean]

[That looks like a gossipy sort of grin, Ino. He'll arch an eyebrow, amused]

I know him. He's one of the many people who insists on annoying me whenever he can. What's the grin about? I sense shenanigans.

[ino]

Oh, no shenanigans. [she places her hand over her heart, as if that will make her look more innocent] Buu~uut, I'm pretty sure he has a huge crush on Rapunzel. And I'm willing to bet she likes him, too!

[whichwayyoulean]

[That doesn't make you look any more innocent, Ino. He knows you too well]

Ohhhhhh. Well that's good. They'll be good for each other. They've both got that don't want to be alone thing going on.

[ino]

Mhm! I know they kissed at the masquerade, so it's only a matter of time~!

[whichwayyoulean]

They did? [That's probably what happens at parties, he realises] They sure kept that quiet.

[ino]

No way! It was totally obvious! Garry made some entry in the journal asking how to ask a girl on a date, and said he kissed her. And then Rapunzel asked me about what it was like to have a boyfriend.

[whichwayyoulean]

Okay maybe it's obvious if you have all the pieces of the puzzle in front of you. [Or, you know, not a complete social pariah. Whichever ]

[ino]

Well, even if you hadn't talked to Rapunzel about it, Garry was pretty obvious about it.

I made sure to invite him, though~! So maybe they'll get to spend more time together.

[whichwayyoulean]

[Oh, Ino, that gets something of an affectionate chuckle from him]

So you think they could use a dose of your meddling, huh?

[ino]

It's not meddling. It's just conveniently setting up a scenario where they could possibly make out a little.

Otherwise known as 'meddling'.

Meddling has that connotation of it being a thing that people don't want to happen.

Maybe they think they don't want it to happen, and won't realise they actually do want it to happen until it's actually happening.

You can weasel out of it all you like, what you do to me is a prime example of 'meddling'.
