[The ballroom had taken a bit of work on Ino's part, but she didn't mind -- she was glad to help decorate if it meant that the people who were meant to come to the party would enjoy themselves. She'd decked out the room with a little help from the ghosts -- it was simple and not too frilly, though there were flowers decorating the tables as centerpieces. Paper lanterns hang from the ceiling down low over the tables.

And of course, there's food (CAKE!!!) and drink and a table for presents. If you're a friend of Tsuna or Rapunzel, you've probably been invited -- so come on in!]

[You can always bet the Once-ler will find the emo place to hang around in to brood. He didn't especially WANT to be here, but he liked Rapunzel and Tsuna (or whatever the Once-ler's approximation of 'liking' someone was) and he had a feeling someone would have dragged him out of his room eventually to be here if he wanted it or not.

Still, showing up is not the same as being actively involved, so on the balcony he will stay. Did he bring presents? Maybe. Will they explode when opened? Possibly]

[sneaks up behind him silently. on the ceiling. she's hanging down riiiight next to his ear to scare the crap out of him]

Wow, you actually came.

[One day, the Once-ler won't even be surprised at her ceiling-y entrances. He won't even bat an eyelid at them, for one day he will be completely and utterly used to them.

Today is not that day. He gives a girly shriek, jumping to the side]

Every time? Seriously?! Every time?

[He lets out a calming breath, before shrugging, leaning back on the balcony railing]

I figured I'd save myself the trouble of being foisted from my room later when people notice I'm missing.

[she just snickers, dropping down onto the railing, and sitting down on it]

You're starting to catch on! Good~

Once-ler?

[Tsuna is genuinely mystified by the man's appearance! It's almost like seeing a majestic unicorn. One that's about as majestic as a gangly newborn giraffe.]

[He turns his head like a majestic unicorn, his hair blowing in the wind, Always I wanna be with you~ before giving Tsuna a small wave]

[No, honestly, he can't figure it out.]

[...Oh. It would be easier to recognize him by voice. She's only seen him once, in the nightmares... And she'd rather not think about that, although she can't help noticing how differently he seems to carry himself now; she notices just by seeing him standing there. She doesn't just look long, though, before walking over and touching his arm.]

You're not in your room.

[He startles a little at her touch, before recognising who it was and offering her a small smile]

Hi, Punzie. I'm having my once a month excursion. After today I'll be back to hiding alone again.

[A beat] Happy birthday.

[The most appropriate reaction, when seeing the Once-ler out and about and generally attending a social event, is naturally having a deer-in-headlights look for about two minutes. Which is what Garry is doing, because holy cow, if he knew who Waldo was, he'd feel as if he'd just spotted his gangly, greener jerk of a cousin.]

You're here? I thought you said you didn't like people...

[The Once-ler would have objected to that comparison if he knew who Waldo was. Lucky for both of the, this is a concept that alludes them]

[Zelos is on the balcony, sitting up on the ledge of the balcony with his back against the wall. He's made himself situated so he's not easy to spot from the party itself. He really doesn't feel like being here, these parties are awkward for him and yesterday morning didn't help. But Tsuna kinda showed up to that thing back in September so might as well make it even.]

[...And yep. Totally wondering what's the polite length of time before he can slip out]

[Rapunzel doesn't notice Zelos until she's popped out for a bit of air, and she starts a bit when she notices someone else is out there.]

Oh! Um, hello!

[Oh hey she seems familiar. But he'll smile at her when she greets him]

[Elizabeth crept out to get fresh air, glass of wine in hand, and it's quite by chance that she ended up standing by him. Not really paying very much attention to her present company. Just fiddling with her long necklace, it was still a little odd to be at these gatherings... well alone. No ladies fretting and whispering in her ear, no sharp snide comments from Walsingham.]

It's a fine event, don't you think?

[it's just an idle comment, and it didn't bother her one way or another if he did not answer.]

[Zelos tilts his head at that woman's appearance. She seems familiar from somewhere, but he hasn't quite placed it. But he'll answer politely]

Fine enough, yeah. They really pulled off something nice.

[Tsuna's voice is a bit hesitant, and definitely surprised when he comes over.]

[he looks over and gives a polite smile and wave]

[Martel actually only found out about the party by mistake. But even though she didn't have a present for Tsuna, she came anyway. Now she's sitting on the railing of the balcony with some punch, sipping it and staring out at the gardens and town beyond.]

[He can recognize that long green hair from a mile away. He walks up to her with a questioning look, but not before glancing out at the gardens and town...it looks really pretty from here, he thinks.]</small Enjoying the party?

Yes! I didn't bring Tsuna a gift, though. I just found out about it when I was walking by. [She laughs.] I'll have to think of something later.
