What: Borgia-Mills Saturnalia party, basically, that party!

The garlands and wreaths of leaves decorating the ballroom sure look similar. Almost Christmas trees. Pagan origins for an otherwise religious holiday. This occasion has no purpose, however, aside from merriment, freedom and lots and lots of eating!

The cooks Henry gathered are welcome to place their creations on a long table set to one side, while most of the ballroom is left clear for dancing of any form. Most of the sofas have been pushed against the walls as refuge for tired feet. The wine flows freely, with uncountable goblets here and there!

Oh, one more thing, beware the nutcrackers.

[What you mean? This is exactly the right amount of dress, in South's opinion!]

[She smiles at the sight of the wine and takes it with a nod.] Thanks! So, looking like a good turnout, yeah?

[ But where did the back part go or the leg part?

Lucrezia tries to take South's arm and lead her further in. ]

More than expected. Only most are reticent to dance!

[South allows herself to be lead in, and chuckles at the wallflowers.] That's how it always is, isn't it? No one wants to be first on the dancefloor.

[ Lucrezia slides her arm down South's so she can reach her hand instead to hold it up like one of them was just asked a dance. ]

Shall we be those no ones then?

[South is mildly surprised when Lucrezia takes her hand, but she doesn't pull away.]

Heh, yeah, we'll show them how it's done!

[ She giggles. ] Show me then.

[South stammers for a moment. Her idea of dancing probably wasn't at all Lucrezia's idea of dancing.]

[But, well, she did essentially say they'd try to get people on the dance-floor. She gives her head a little shake as if to say fuckit, and steps in close to Lucrezia and wraps one hand around her waist.]

[ For all Lucrezia knows, South is an expert dancer in whatever year she's from! Steph only bobbed around when she showed her. ]

Where do I place my hands?

Well, like ... anywhere, I guess?

[It's not like there were any detailed instructions for 'bump and grind', or the current variation, 'bump and grind + 2 inches']

[ That just makes her more confused! She opts for placing them both on South's shoulders instead. ]

[South's got a decent amount of distance between the, compared to when she'd actually be dancing this drunk in some dark, dank, sweaty club. She rests one wrist on Lucrezia's shoulder and the other on her waist, and starts demonstrating the primal, fluid movements.]

[ Right now her face basically screams SOUTH, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? She just stands there, stunned. ]

[South has no shame, and mun's not sure show she got here in the first place]

I would... [ how to even phrase this ] reserve such activities behind closed doors.

[Sensing that her lessons aren't really appreciated, South stops and drops her arms, giving a shrug.] Well, that's what they do in my time.

[No not everyone, just the shameless] What kind of dancing do you do?

[ SORRY SOUTH. She bites her lip, all apologetic. ]

No, forgive me. I did say I wanted to learn.

Yeah well, guess I should have warned that the way I dance isn't for the faint of heart. [South, no, this isn't something you should be proud of. :| ]

Not at all. Perhaps we should practice in private first before my heart could take it.

[i_got_this]

Yeah, sure. Just let me know! So ... how do you get jiggy with it?

[heloise]

Jiggy. [ She had to try saying that. ] We step around each other and twirl about to music.

[i_got_this]

[South nods, then frowns slightly.] Sounds ... complicated.

[ She laughs. ] It does not require as much talent with one's hips.

Well, that you just get with practice. [South shrugs with a smirk.]

[heloise]

[ Lucrezia gives her a sly look. WHAT KIND OF PRACTICE. ] In private?

[i_got_this]

Well, yeah. [South continues to smile back mishievously. Yes, that kind of 'practice'.]
