Where: Ballroom!
What: Borgia-Mills ~~Saturnalia~~ party, basically, that party!

The garlands and wreaths of leaves decorating the ballroom sure look similar. Almost Christmas trees. Pagan origins for an otherwise religious holiday. This occasion has no purpose, however, aside from merriment, freedom and lots and lots of eating!

The cooks Henry gathered are welcome to place their creations on a long table set to one side, while most of the ballroom is left clear for dancing of any form. Most of the sofas have been pushed against the walls as refuge for tired feet. The wine flows freely, with uncountable goblets here and there!

Oh, one more thing, beware the nutcrackers.

[The Once-ler showed up, as he promised. And, just as he promised, he's going to a corner to hang out.

Look he says he'll come to these things, he doesn't say he'll actively interact with anyone]

[Good thing there are people to actively interact with him!!

Henry jogs toward him when he sees him, abuzz with energy.]

Hey! I'm not gonna bug you for a long time because I promised you could be in the corner if you wanted, and I know you don't really like this kinda stuff, but I'm really, really glad you came.

[... Someone may have had a few extra desserts.]

[Henry you are his favourite child. You even get a smile]

I promised I would, didn't I?

You enjoying yourself, Kiddo? I'm assuming so, since it looks like you've eaten your bodyweight in sugar already.

[He laughs!]

The food's really good. You should have some, Jane and I made a pie.

...Someone helped her, right? Because I've watched Jane try to bake before. [It was scary]

Just me. She told me what to do and I did it.

[A beat.]

It was hard to figure out at first, but I only messed up a couple times.

Oh...well that's a tiny bit more comforting. My chances of food poisoning have dropped a little.

Only a little? [A huff.] I'm not that bad.

That remains to be seen. And tasted.

Okay, so have a piece.

But you have to come out of the corner for, like, ten seconds.

...Whoah wait wait. We didn't agree to any leaving of the corner.

It's ten seconds. And there's pie.

[He'll point a finger at Henry]

Ten seconds.

Ten seconds.

[He starts to pretend-jog in place, before Once can change his mind.]

Ready?

[The Once-ler arches a brow at that pretend jogging]

As ready as I'll ever be.

Okay, go!

[And he trots off toward said pie!

... A kid's gotta burn the excess energy somehow.]

...Kids are weird.

[He'll reluctantly follow]

[Too slow! He's already got a piece on a plate by the time the Once-ler catches up to him.]

Here, try.

[The Once-ler gives him a dubious look, before taking the plate]

The things I go through for you people.

[Going to try a tiny piece]

Oh, come on, it's good. Right?

You know, it's not all that bad.

[He BEAMS.]

See? Worth it, right?

[He'll just reach out to ruffled Henry's hair]

You know, it totally was.

[MISSION COMPLETE. Henry laughs a little, ducking his head.]

Okay, you can go back to the corner if you want. I won't make you do anything else.

Don't mind if I do, but hey, thanks for the pie anyway.
