Between the various kinds of healers and doctors in residence, and the fact that both of them were pretty used to getting knocked around in their line of work as it was, Ray had a feeling that two weeks was plenty of time for Pete to have recovered from his injuries during the expedition. As for himself, he'd spent the time since tinkering, refreshing his readings of the castle, and generally puttering around - a term which could possibly be defined as "sinking several hours into various machines in the game room like a five year old". Possibly.
Having killed a sufficient amount of time on his own, Ray decided the time was nigh to check up on his buddy again, and cracked the journal open.
"Hey, Pete, you there?"
