[ When she wakes it is with a start, body tensing as her eyes snap open. She's not a deep sleeper, not like a long shot, unless thoroughly exhausted. So how he managed to climb into her bed without her waking is a mystery to her. Even more so than why he would come all the way from the town just to--

Sitting up suddenly, she pulls the blankets to herself, shuffling towards the edge of her bed in an attempt to put space between them. ]

Gwaine. [ Wake up. Now. And please get the hell out of her bed. ] Gwaine.

[ He's got so much practice being a mannequin already he's practically your very own dress-up doll. Wherever you move him, he complies. ]

[videres]

[ That's wonderful, she would have to drastic measures if he had been difficult. It only takes her a matter of moments to get the shirt on him proper, tugging it down over his head. ]

There.

[impetuous]

[ He smiles. ]

[videres]

[ And she smiles in return. ]

As we're stuck for the foreseeable future, shall we eat?

[ Well-organized priorities, Gwaine. You have them. ]

[videres]

Ah, of course. [ Sadly she lacks a kitchen in her room, so they will have to request some food from the ghosts. Technology and Morgana do not really mix.

She wishes up some breakfast, which is dutifully brought by the ghosts and placed on the nearby table. ]

[impetuous]

[ He can barely deal with his iPod so he's more than okay with wishing. He walks to the table and stands behind a chair, pulling it out so she may sit. ]

My lady.

[videres]

[ She smiles, bowing her head and taking her seat. ]

Thank you.

[ It's annoying. She cannot stop herself from being charmed by his words, his actions. ]

[impetuous]

[ And he's not even trying very hard to be charming right now. He merely takes his seat and smiles warmly at her. For once thankful that he had manners drilled into him as a child, he serves himself a plate like a proper gentleman. ]

[videres]

[ Which makes it all the more annoying.

Her own manners are painfully apparent as she begins to eat, all habits she cannot bring herself to get rid of. Though she suspects that she could not erase them even if she tried. ]

[impetuous]

[ And here he's going to toss manners out the window. (He had them longer now than he ever has before with anyone else.) ]

Oh, here. You've a little something— [ He stretches a hand to her, his half-curled fingers barely grazing her cheek and his thumb wiping at a shadow of something close to the corner of her mouth. ]

[videres]

[ Gwaine. Gwaine. What are you doing?

She can feel his fingers against her skin before she can mount a protest, her eyes widening in obvious surprise. ]

...

[impetuous]

[ At her non-reaction, he realizes what he is doing and pulls his hand back. He offers her an apologetic smile. ]

Sorry.

[videres]

It is... okay. [ She brings a hand up to where his had been merely seconds ago. Dammit, why do you have to do these sorts of things. ]

Thank you.

[impetuous]

[ Because he wouldn't be him unless he did. And you wouldn't like him half as much. He nods wordlessly and resumes eating. After a moment, he laughs softly and turns his head to look at her. ]

This is actually nice. If it were not for the locked-in part, it would be great.

[videres]

You are right, being locked in does tend to ruin things. [ It really is nice, being in his presence. Ironic, she thinks, as such a thing wouldn't have been possible before. ]

At least the company is pleasant enough.

[impetuous]

[ He raises his glass to her, a small smile playing about his lips. His eyes never flicker away from her face.]

I will drink to that.

[videres]

As will I. [ She mirrors the motion, lips twitching into a smile she can barely contain. She doesn't break gaze with him, even as she takes a drink from her glass.

This is better than what happened last time, she will admit. Much better. ]

[impetuous]

[ He's content to finish the rest of the meal in relative silence. One of the few surefire ways to get him to shut up: feed him. And he is content here. The food is good, the company doesn't scowl or sigh at him and he has a break from the menagerie that is usually sleeping on or around him. If it weren't for the fact that he cannot leave, and it is something that bothers him a lot more than he let on, he would be very happy right now. ]

[videres]

[ It bothers her as well. More than she'd ever be willing to admit. the very thought of being unable to leave, regardless of who she is stuck with, strikes an uneasy cord within her. She doesn't like being trapped, helpless to free herself. It is like being in Camelot again, forced to live under the rule of a king who would have her killed if he learned the truth about her.

Once finished, the ghosts collect the empty plates and glasses then vanish without a trace. Leaving them behind in the overly decorated room. ]

Would you like anything else?

[impetuous]

[ Leave. The answer is on the tip of his tongue, but he manages to swallow it with a ready smile. ]

Not at the moment. ...Actually, there is.

[videres]

[ Aside from leaving, obviously. ]

Oh? And what is that?

[impetuous]

[ He subtly palms one of the smaller flowers strewn close by (the years of practice stealing came in handy today) and, with the same hand, brushes Morgana's hair over her ear. When he pulls his arm back, he produces the flower. ]

I believe this is yours.

[videres]

[ She laughs, she can hardly stop herself, shaking her head slightly. It is almost adorable how simple it is, not at all like a the grand gestures she is used to getting from men seeking her favor. She takes the flower from him, spinning it a little between her fingers. ]

It's beautiful.

[ Clearly amused she leans over and places a soft kiss on his cheek. ]

[impetuous]

[ His smile widens at the kiss. He does not raise a hand to his cheek, but the area she touched feels oddly warm. ]

It's only fitting: a flower for a rose. [ He stands in order to stretch. ] What would you like? As your uninvited guest, I am at your command, my lady.
