Snow wars
Who: Legolas and anyone really
What: Snowball fights and the maturity level of elves
When: Anytime there’s still snow
Where: Right outside the castle!
Rating: F for fun!!
As an elfling, Legolas could often be found outside Thranduil‘s halls with other elflings and, of course, a group of armed elves just in case goblins or spiders came too near. That‘s not important though. What was important was what the elflings did: have snowball fights.
Legolas was very good at throwing snow and not always just with the other children. Anyone and everyone was a target. His aim with a bow was known to be superb among his people but there were few who didn‘t remember how exact he was with throwing snowballs. And now with how much snow had fallen outside the castle, it seemed that Legolas was drawn to behaving like a child. Dressed in his travel clothes and a cloak, a green one sadly rather than one that might blend in with the snow, he headed outside.
Sure, he was grown by the standards of elven culture but that didn‘t mean he couldn‘t have fun! Look at the parties his dad always threw in the forest.
With snow packed in front of him for defense and a small pile of snowballs ready, Legolas watched the doors of the castle. And when it opened--
If you just felt a snowball pelt you, it’s likely this elf that threw it.

"Quite alright. Though I can't say I was expecting that to happen today."

... and getting hit with a snowball. She yelps in surprise.
"That's not fair!"

Comes a voice, body hidden behind a snow of snow. A moment later, the pointy ears prince shows his face and laughs, very softly.
"You are more than welcome to retaliate. In fact, would go so far as to encourage it!"
no subject
Or... maybe something else?
"Your ears!"
Clem gasps, snow on her clothing forgotten. His ears were pointy.

"Who was— Was that you?!"
She half-glares, half-laughs at Legolas.
no subject
"Perhaps it was!"

Nymeria stares at her.
"Go on!"
Nymeria cants her head.
"Fine, stupid wolf. I'll do it myself!"
Arya scoops up a handful of snow and throws it in Legolas' direction.

It really was a sight, he decided, stopping a distance from the door to crane his head back and take it all in. The icicles dangling from every windowsill and turret caught the sunlight and sent diamond points of color dancing off the stone, like nothing he'd ever seen before. So, of course, he was fully distracted from any possible assaults.
That snowball would probably take him completely by surprise.

And Gale will get to hear the light laughter of the elf before being able to spot him. Legolas is quite creative when it comes to messing about in the snow.
no subject
"What the--!" His indignation trails off into laughter, and he crouches down to scoop up a handful of snow before turning, already starting to form it into a weapon for retaliation.
Two hunters get into a snowball fight ... who will win?

She was on her way out the doors and heading towards town in as many layers as she can manage. She's never especially cognizant of her surroundings unless she's looking for something in particular and today she happened to be lost in thought as she ran over the list of things she needed again.
Needless to say she didn't notice that snowball until it hit her square in the middle of the back.
She whirled around, "What the fuck?"

"Apologies, young miss!"
no subject
"Apologies are one thing but I think that was a challenge."

no subject
"It certainly wasn't this elf."
Except it was and the grin he has on his face is probably telling of his guilt.
no subject
"Is that so? Are there other elves nearby I somehow missed?"
