Snow wars
Who: Legolas and anyone really
What: Snowball fights and the maturity level of elves
When: Anytime there’s still snow
Where: Right outside the castle!
Rating: F for fun!!
As an elfling, Legolas could often be found outside Thranduil‘s halls with other elflings and, of course, a group of armed elves just in case goblins or spiders came too near. That‘s not important though. What was important was what the elflings did: have snowball fights.
Legolas was very good at throwing snow and not always just with the other children. Anyone and everyone was a target. His aim with a bow was known to be superb among his people but there were few who didn‘t remember how exact he was with throwing snowballs. And now with how much snow had fallen outside the castle, it seemed that Legolas was drawn to behaving like a child. Dressed in his travel clothes and a cloak, a green one sadly rather than one that might blend in with the snow, he headed outside.
Sure, he was grown by the standards of elven culture but that didn‘t mean he couldn‘t have fun! Look at the parties his dad always threw in the forest.
With snow packed in front of him for defense and a small pile of snowballs ready, Legolas watched the doors of the castle. And when it opened--
If you just felt a snowball pelt you, it’s likely this elf that threw it.

"You're an elf? I thought they were tiny!"

He can't help but laugh a bit. Elves? Tiny? Who ever heard of such a thing! Of course, he doesn't want to be rude. She's obviously not from Middle Earth so he can't actually expect her to know of their kinds of elves.
"Oh no, we're quite tall where I am from. I've never known a tiny elf."

So don't mind the open staring.

A pause from Legolas, the elf tossing a snowball up and down in the air before grinning. There was one book he'd been given from the library, by Vanyel, about Christmas stories and such. One had been about a fellow garbed in red.
"Ah, I read of him just a week ago! No, I do not. We've no one alike him in Middle Earth and I'd have my own responsibilities if we did."

"What's your name? I'm Clementine."

As he was doing, learning more about other worlds and cultures, celebrations and otherwise. It was becoming more interesting each day if not confusing for all he was learning about this holiday alone.

That was a thought to remember for when he finally returned to Eryn Lasgalen. Surely those that remained would prefer to live in the forest and among the trees. Although, he doubted his father would approve.

"Do elves throw snowballs at people, too?"

"So... you never die?"
no subject
"That's right, I won't. I can be killed, from battle or in an accident but otherwise I will live until the very end of the world."
no subject
"You must have a really good memory."

She seemed young though. Too young to explain begetting, since humans were pretty delicate about that subject.
"And that's similar to a humans first birthday."
